I think the strength penalty for dragging is a bit harsh for halflings. Certainly the stories of them not being able to drag a human druid at high max_str are exagerated. Sorry depok, but given the immense array of skills a rogue brings to the table, saying their primary role now is CR is ridiculous. Yeah we all know melee damage sucks, but rogues still are the best at it. Higher crit rate is nice but you can match their higher crits by attacking more frequently and...

I understand all that Ash, the issue however is that the main role of the class (today) is to CR. When I rolled my Halfling I never thought I would not be able to do that. As for rogues, if you read my system yes they will lose damage about 10 for every hit for instance because from a RP perspective they should not hit as hard as warriors and especially not as hard as rangers. I think what is truly missing from rogues is the Group assassinate ability. This would allow rogues to kill every mob in the room with one attack.

Of course it would only work on mobs that were up to level 62 and it would ignore any fireshield/coldshield.

Keep in mind though that a warriors Thaco is much lower than a rogues. As a result they need less hit dice to hit things. This lets them get higher damage dice because they don't need to have a 31 in hit to actually hit things. I can get pibel to 50 damage but he has a 18 hit. Not gonna hit much wit...
