I remember a lot of those names. I started playing in 93-94, but was just a little guy. I drooled when I saw Serro dual wielding those swords. The most fun I had is when I played a monk and got him to 50 when they rocked. 7d5 with 7 attacks and 30+ dam (I think this was 97-98?). Anyway, I log on onc...

Thanks
That would make sense (that they message just isn't echo'd to the room). I just thought it wasn't working, and never verified it.

Necro pet bug?
I currently have two wraiths. When the tank wraith get's low in hps, he will try to heal himself. However, he must be doing a "cast 'heal undead' wraith" because he never actually heals the correct mob (the tank is always 2.wraith).
Why wouldn't he do a "cast 'heal undead' self"?

So the level of the animated mob, isn't affected by the level of the corpse at all? For example: animating a shadow from a level 20 corpse, will give (basically) the same strength shadow as animating from a level 25 corpse? Once the mob is big enough to be used in animating a shadow, then the size o...

There are alot of old names here that I recognize. I played mostly Innova back in the day, but I also had a high level monk back when they kicked butt (can't remember the name). I probably had about 5 characters over level 40, but Innova was the only one that got to 50 (the monk was close). I just s...

I was there also, one healer (druid) was afk w/o saying so. Our main healer (Full Heal Cleric) needed to go afk mid-fight (and said so, but we assumed the other healer was there), hence no heals = death.

<a href="http://www.nocrew.org/software/httptunnel.html">Http Tunnel</a> will allow you to do it. It is really slow, and you need the server set up somewhere on the outside to use it. Of course, the firewall is there for a reason, and they can still packet sniff to tell what your doing. So if you ge...

Most Open source enthusiasts I know don't say that Linux/Apache/whatever is perfect. They just say the open source model is better for developing quality software. Is there a fix for this bug already? Yes. Most bugs are fixed within hours of discovery on an open source project. How long does it take...

How does one go about getting the area creation docs? I haven't seen them in a couple years, I think we had to have an idea and submit that to the gods, and then we'd get the docs, is that still the case?

GPL
Has GPL'ing the code base ever been discussed? I'm sure that we can think of tons of reasons that this would be good/bad, and I don't want to start a war (why is it that whenever those words are said, a war starts?). I am just wondering if the Forgers have discussed this, and what their thoughts, bo...

Linux Color Term
I am currently using gnome-terminal, but the colors seem to suck. Can anyone suggest a good term program for Linux, that has full ansi color support?
I think I used to use Eterm, but don't have it currently installed, does that work better?
