Gurns is gone.

Eilistraee is texting with Gurns' wife now. He died on Sunday, although in so many ways he'd died months ago. There is no funeral or visitation or wake planned, although there may be a memorial service at some time. If you want, let me know and I will let you know if I learn of one. Gurns was Warren...

Gurns is fading away.

Hello. I have very sad news to convey. Gurns, who was Jergal while I was Auril, has an inoperable and cancerous brain tumour and will not recover. He is currently as good as he can be under the circumstances, but there are significant personality shifts and visual troubles. His wife has a lot of sup...

Re: Poll - removal Good / Evil group restrictions

I voted no, but then again, I have left so my opinion doesn't matter to anyone but me. I feel that the goodrace/evilrace divide encourages the themes established within the zones, including hometowns. If trolls and elves and drow and halflings are allowed to all group, why can't that group well into...

Re: When it crashes during zones

No corpse rot means you could get some shamans' corpses in strategic locations, for quick transport. Blocking that spell means a legitimate return to your body is negated. Perhaps having a time limit on when the corpse could be spirit walked to would be a valid work-around.

Re: A whole new dead horse, er, thread

Well dear, I've had some questions about your choices and haven't decided to challenge your morals. I'll just stop looking at what you have to say, so I won't speak in your direction, and it may be a good idea for you to do the same. So my 'rp crap' won't stink up your world.

Re: A whole new dead horse, er, thread

I'd cast those for the fun of it. :) Cause light was handy when I was just a child, easily ignored by the riffraff around me. Well, they sure noticed when my 'pointless sermon' sent an arc of pain through their bodies! Yes, I'd abort the spell if they noticed my intentions, because you're right. Cho...

Re: A whole new dead horse, er, thread

I have some thoughts about why anti-paladins don't get healing spells. There's only so much one mortal can do, and our calling is to inflict pain upon others, whether directly through combat or by accessing the dark powers of our deity. Like paladins, we set forth to protect our deity's faithful, bu...

Re: How did you meet?

Well, I got killed in Myranthea and my ex and his new fling and a guy a friend said I should be watching for were dragging my corpse back for me. My ex and his girl were talking together, ignoring everyone else, so I talked with this other guy. He was nice enough, and we chatted more later - no more...

I've had fun roleplaying. :) I liked Lilira's New Year's party, and listening to her and Ashiwi singing. I had fun when Lorsalian and I tried to find a druid in his forest - like a needle in a haystack. :P Dumping eels into the lake with Sotana, finding Rhys in that strange city. The god run parts w...

Something to think about.

The entry for Wed. March 7 has some important stuff in it. Feel free to dismiss it if you want, but I think you'll know what I'll think of that.

Nobody needs me to CR. I get bored with xp, I get bored with zones where nobody's talking and interacting except to be crude, I don't know gear enough to get a thrill out of buying and selling. I consider CR's to be different, yes, because of the losses that can happen. Not going with someone to a zone means they take someone else, but not helping with a CR might mean it couldn't get done and now someone's stuck trying to buy or zone for the gear all over again. Maybe their friend's gear t...

I don't have a lot of time to play these days. Usually, I'll come along if I'm asked. I'm not a top-end tank, but I listen and do my job. If I make a mistake, I'll own it and apologize, and if you yell at me or someone important to me after that, we're done. I'll finish the zone, but don't bother me...

I got a new, strange craving out of nowhere the other day, and it took me hours to figure out what it was and how to get it. When Tocx'enth'orix followed me, I was awestruck. When we rode our dragons against the demon, the elementals, that WALL - it was amazing! Then there was the mountain. Where do we go from here?

The mage was gone. Again. Deep in the bowels of Faerun we’d dispatched him, only he lingered, Lintral said. We took care of that problem too, leaving him to the winds. My job was done, most likely, since the other spirits who wandered through the jongleur didn’t seem willing to turf him out of his o...
