I think alot could be accomplished by simply removing the human race from the mud. Worst race ever, barbs too cause they're just tall humans with worse BO. There are several kinds of elves, we could add wild-elves, moon elves, gold elves etc. With the addition of elf illusionists and spiritualists(...

I understand some folks are busy, but how about a quick update on the current connection plans. We are slowly losing folks that just can't take the constant lag, and its almost impossible to recruit more with it like this.
Do we plan on moving? Sooner rather than later?
Thanks,
Belle

I always assumed Rangers were pretty decent at this, much better than those silly Paladins anyway.

As it is now, people only really take dwarves because they are the only ones that can CR the group. I have been in more than one group as a shaman and heard this "need to find a rogue for the group. Dwarf only" Nothing like a positive leader. Look we are going to have a nasty spank so we need someo...

Invokers are overpowered.. plain and simple, because of this melee is out of whack, who wants to bring melee when you can bring a voker and do 5x the damage and areas. That being said, that is why it belongs in this thread. Yes i have a voker, and yes i have a hitter.. Voker damage should be downed...

Re: Zone Editor
A zone editor that basically took the form of what the actual mud looks like, so you can "imagine" you are there and maybe even test some things out against mobs you create? Just a thought, seeing as that was the nicest part of writing online... testing as you go. Toril Editor lets you do most of t...

I'm not sure about what is calculated, but is there ANYONE that thinks that Bronze Citadel is easier to do than the following zones? - Seelie - Muspelheim - TTF You could move all the mobs from seelies and muspel to TTF and BC still would be tougher. Your average level 50 warrior does about 150 hps damage a round? Wow those are old numbers dude:) Yeah from what I can tell, im the only warrior who even bothers to wear hit/dam. if something is visible on trophy, you shouldn't be getting more than 10% exps from it. This would force folks to actually alternate between the exp zones (grr) What the frag are you killing for 10% exp? Sadly I find it very hard to believe we will be able to increase the players here by any noticable amount. Muds are a bit like nintendo. To those of us that grew up with it, it still rocks. I never played a mage, or even zoned... but maybe someone can answer: Do casters have to think about and plan out their spells? Two other ideas: 1) Make some spells not require a verbal component. Something like heal might be castable in silence, but Full heal couldn't. Force missiles couldn't but meteors could. Ect. Would take some work thou. 2) Better yet, silence shouldn't cancel all spells, make it reduce your failure ra...

A few other silly ideas that I gotta get outta my head before the serious drinking begins. Other ranger sillyness. 1) Ensnare/Entrap - While wielding a net a ranger can attempt to throw a net over a foe. At which point he/she loses the net. This has 2 effects. 1 it renders the mob immoblie while in ...

People just want the Rangers to get a "groupable" skill like stunning, that would add greater "Flavor" to the mud: archery. But again doesn't have to be. Finally a number of skills were suggested in the other ranger thread, that really gave benefit to the ranger only. A number of folks need to star...

Re: The Forgotten Melee Class: Rangers revisited
Joth wrote: But with this additional skill, rangers will be seen more and more as the Archery class, and the bow the weapon of choice.
No thanks, archery was always supposed to be a component of the ranger, but wasn't supposed to 'make' the ranger.
