The Darkraven
Everything was ordinary for an early evening in Waterdeep on Delzaren Road. Several adventurers were coming in and out of the stores, stocking for the next day’s travel. The occasional clang of swords could be heard outside the warrior’s hall from the guild master training new apprentices. A child t...

Selection Sunday?
Well, NCAA Basketball hashed out the field of 65 on Sunday to see who would be going to the big dance. I was wondering if there was any further news on Sojourn's March Madness? Who is going to the big dance known as ALPHA? Anyone been e-mailed yet? Has everyone already been selected or is the select...

Yasden - Hey man. I agree with Malacar. Don't sweat it. I am also in the same boat. We all have our rough stages in life where perspective gets a bit clouded. I made my apologies, explained my reasoning, and am looking forward to a clean slate. And I had all sorts of people come out of the woodwork ...

The zone down south was Nizari. And I actually enjoyed the zone. Pain in the ass finding the thief with the key. Then unlocking the gates and making your way to the Cloak of Shadows (used to be 15ac +2 hit monkable). After they took the item out though, the zone sucked http://www.sojourn3.org/ubb/sm...

My earliest memories of Sojourn. . . -Names like Bonecrusher, Vanity, and Pookah. -Or how about Parkas, Wugoku, and Brunthar. -Warriors holding two radiant opals. -Dual wielding an Emerald Longsword and a Crimson Sword of Armonder -Killing sentries and palace guards in Mithril Halls (then located ne...

Ilshad- Thanks, hehe. I knew I had my facts messed up a little. That sure was a long time ago. I just remember the first guild I remember seeing was the Seventh Star and they had funky blue titles and the guild hall entrance and such got me interested in guilds for the first time. Soul Forger & Hous...

Seventh Star was in the first wave of guilds as I recall. That was before any of the charter rules and such. Most of the guilds were God-sponsored. I thought Mystra sponsored the Seventh Star and then gods like Oghma, Deneir, and Tyr followed suit with other guilds. Policy was changed because guilds...

Malacar wrote. . . "I prolly will, Mikar.. Just hesitant, ya know? Last time I showed my face as Malacar was when Toddrick and I had a huge blowout, and CS branded me some form of morbid heretic. The circumstances were shitty to begin with(and I was an immature little brat, which compounded things),...

Cast 'Spell Check' Brugg Oh, you meant sarcasm? Ahhh. . .much better http://www.sojourn3.org/ubb/smile.gif Malacar. Don't use the name Kelwynne. I say you come back as Malacar, the caster. If I can come back as Mikar with all the baggage on that name, you can do it too http://www.sojourn3.org/ubb/sm...

Name those stats!
Thruar's post on what were your stats / equipment at your peak of Sojourn mudding got me thinking about what equipment I was wearing on Mikar before the pwipe of Toril. I think my stats were as follows: 695/695 base hit points 95 base strength 98 base con 86 base agility 68 base dex +20 hit +54 dam ...

Kwirl- Just some (hopefully) helpful advice. You can basically go one of two directions: 1) Either get your Computer Science degree and concentrate on programming. The more programming languages you learn in college, the more well rounded you will be for the job market. 2) Or get any of a number of ...

A more player friendly Sojourn 3?
Well, I may piss off some of the hard-working Staff, but I do have a complaint and think alot of others might be thinking the same thing, so here goes. . . I read several hundred posts over on the Egroups message board (before it switched to Yahoo) about how Sojourn was returning and the main theme ...

Hehe. If memory serves me correctly, I woke up on a Saturday morning at 9am and mudded straight through until 11am the next day with just bathroom breaks and food breaks in between. That would make 26 hours, yar! That was just on one occassion. Most of my hardcore sessions were like 8-10 hours. I do...

Ahh, a mudding tradition in my late college years and thereafter. . . I used to go to the local pizza joint. Order a medium pizza, a dozen wings, and a 2 liter of coke (the 2 liter of coke was the essential part) Toss the pizza and the wings on the floor next to my desk. Put the 2 liter on my desk f...

Wow. Neat topic. Made me try and remember what the hell I listened to in college while mudding. NIN - The Downward Spiral RAtM ...
