Re: tread stealing
I have both a 39th ranger and a 34th illusionist. All I have to say is the illusionist is way crazy more powerful than the ranger. I can tank(displace/shade) and hit(attackspells) better than the ranger. I say upgrade melee as per Weylari's weapon dice suggestion and upgrade tanking or dg mage dama...

The Color of Twilight
Ok, this is just to settle a personal argument I was having with someone regarding what the typical conception of twilight is. So please, if you have time, tell me what color/s you first think of when you think of twilight. _Pretty please_ answer before reading any responses/definitions/etc. Thanks!...

Ele's certainly don't need an upgrade, but the thread was in fact primarily about asthetics (ie mephits != elemental kin). Secondarily, it kind of annoys me that mephits aren't good for a great deal, but I suppose I should put downgrades in the same thread as upgrades. In the meantime I'll let some ...

Maybe anyone who camps/voids in an eq-zone should just be returned to their hometowns next boot? Hehe, you'd make everyone who goes LD in a zone on accident very happy. Seems like it has a little potential for abuse though. If x person who constantly afks decides they want to bail in a !tele zone h...

Actually what I'm saying is that saying "holy word" is more powerful than "unholy word" because of mob distribution is silly. You're trying to fix a different problem the wrong way. Holy Word = Unholy Word, and PFG = PFE. The fact that there aren't enough good aligned mobs, or enough good aligned mo...

Kin have their uses. Yeah, like I said, fodder and scouting. There is little beyond that they are worth using for except exp'ing before you have elementals A 3rd circle pet certainly doesn'tneed to be able to cast. Summon Elemental Kin
Summon Elemental Kin currently summons any of a variety of pretty useless imps (mephits). Could we have it summon what might be somewhat more useful "actual" elemental kin instead? For air this would be a Sylph, for earth a Pech, for fire a Salamander, and for water a Nereid. Could we also make the ...

PFE and PFG is not a wash. PFE has about 80% more practical uses I don't really understand this argument. Anyone who picked anti understood that would mean they'd be more effective against good mobs, so saying down the road that having the paladin advantage is better is kind of silly. You already m...

Call me crazy but I just might have to agree about having pegasi as mounts instead of griffons. Griffons are supposedly neutral aligned creatures that will serve anyone. They make more sense as a generic warrior's mount. If anti-paladins have nightmare steeds that are obviously animals of evil it on...

Let weapons be wielded in one or in two hands, not based on a flag, but based on weight. Let it be done. This was the case in a mud I used to play and it worked quite well. If you weren't strong enough to wield a weapon in one hand it would make a check to see if you could wield it in two hands and...

Well, you're trying to use a 3rd circle spell on 46+ mobs, basically. 1) Drop the exps in any zone built specifically for exping by 80%. They have no danger, you learn nothing, and you can use a bot and sleep and come back with a few levels.
