That was before the Tiaeq downgrades, now people will hitup seelies instead;) You really think that with all the work that's gone into Tia they'd just dump all the old eq in there and call it a day? I find your lack of faith disturbing. See Erlans. Yes, but work has actually been done on Tiamat, th...

Well, they have to downgrade all the tia eq across the board, if they plan to put the zone back in again. Because everyone will do the zone till everyone gets their own set of tia eq - and if it kept its old stats, it would pretty much make all the other zones' eq extinct, and no one would do anyth...

Gimaki, Just out of curiosity, how do you feel about mobs that look the same but behave differrently. Making it so you never know what is in store until you are engaged? You mean like some of the guards in the 2nd gatehouse turn out to have different classes besides warrior? One run your facing an ...

This eats up eq, and gives high level players more to do at the same time, while discouraging them from just dumping things on their alts. We already have some of these, and hopefully more will be entering the game, but I can't possibly see a way this in itself comes close to keeping up with the eq...

Darkhold, Citadel, Trollbark, etc are all designed for the mid-level player. The mud now is more newbie friendly then it ever has been in the past (by a large multiplier). Unfortunately there is a stagnate player base, easy exp, equipment bloat, so your not going to find many newbie groups that bond...

I'll be honest, I can't figure out what your asking for... How can you form those stronger bonds if your not on much? How can you expect to get the same rewards as someone that spends 10x the amount of effort on something? The mud, like the ranger class, is what you make of it. There are tons of fun...

I really don't see the point of any more ranger threads until we see how the melee changes come out. It's like building a house before you know what the foundation is going to look like. Rangers never will be (imho) a needed class, if you want to play someone that a group is always going to need, tr...

Invokers get more then just inferno... in fact I seem to recall that they get more then a couple targetted spells as well. As far as damage goes... druids get doom as well as such powerful areas as QUAKE and SUNRAY. Invokers run in fear! your niche is at an end! Uhh, Druids get hailstorm and dessic...

I'm for waiting until we see how the other spells get nerfed before really arguing about doom. But I have to disagree with your logic Birile. Invokers easily did/do more damage than druids in your typical fight, and they should. But saying the top damage spell in the game (under optimal conditions) ...

Nobody wants exp to be any harder, just smarter. Lower the exp tables, drop "exp-only" zones exps drastically. Your overall rate of exping would be much higher, you'd learn more about the mud, and you could have fun before you are 'zonable'. And you don't have to be 40 to zone, some of the most fun ...

Silence would need to be changed drastically to make stun much use to any melee class. Shieldpunch, never heard of it. *scratch* As Delmair and may others pointed out, trip and bash should be switched for a Ranger, other than that we should wait to see where things come out after the melee changes. ...

I still think the problem isn't xp (barring xp grids (bad!) and unfair rewards (DS compared to other zones)). It's that there is nothing to do until you can do high level zones, because people give eq to newbies. That's the point Stamm, its giving them something meaningful to do. Equipment is a sid...

If you are busy exploring the mud, slaying mobs from all around, I think you should be able to level up far faster than is currently possible with exp-zones. The whole reason to drop exp zones exps isn't to make it take longer to level, its to make exping outside those zones the ideal way to level a...

By zone penalty, I mean by far the fastest way to gain exps is to sit in DS. People turn down zones to exp, because if you go hit a zone your missing out on valuable xp time;). It's extremely silly. Not that it matters since its happening to mobs 99% of the time, but the proc message is a bit broke on the mess to the target. Should be You or Your instead the players name. It makes no sense at all arguing about tank_race merits until the melee-combat system is fixed first. Lets see how things play out first. And yes the strengths of some races will increase even more if skills become more important (as they should), and spells less important (as they should). But let...

It does no good to advertise the mud until we have a good solid perm connection. Currently all the major mud websites have our site listed at the old site so we won't be getting anyone new from there (i.e. mud connector, topmudsites). I'm not even sure some of our mudders know where the site is now....
