Re: a wicked three-headed whip of living slime

Wow, you actually finished that quest! Did you do it the hard way by following all the little leads through several mobs in Hulburg and the Temple of Twisted Flesh or did you stumble upon it by happenstance (i.e. brute force quest keyword spamming)? Congratulations if the prior, that was one of the ...

Old Bloodstone was a fun zone. Sure, it wasn't perfect, but it had a lot of little details that shone through once you looked below its surface of an old, "boring" zone. Many little quests (alas many incomplete), decent XP and an interesting layout. A lot of the mobs had little stories and emotes, w...

Seeing as how it took a few mere hours to write both the warrior and newbie guide, minor modifications to reflect changes to the MUD since then seem inconsequential. Have they not been updated since inception? That's what, 3 years ago?

No you silly octopus-with-an-identity-crisis-thinking-it's-a-rogue, they aren't !break. But they're very close to it and have another attribute which makes them worth using, especially if you aren't level 50. If they break consistently when picking the WD gates, then those gates must have something ...

Hey, congrats Yasden! Nice work. I don't recognize most of those names, and others yet have gone goodie and merely dusted off their evil for this, but it's quite an accomplishment either way.

It was meant to have much better eq. I designed the quests, zone details (layout, pop, portable, etc.) and beholder procs -up to the very last eye- with the intention of being HARD. It wasn't intended for wusslings, but I knew the zone was stillborn once the eq had been neutered by Dugmaren. Oh well...

Blung group-says 'ok I'm ready to abuse this weapon'

Old school evils abusing, err making use of, 'undocumented features' in the mud! The Ethereal Plane A smokey-gray fog consumes the plane in every direction for as far as can be seen, much like walking through a dense cloud. Gravity is lighter here than on the prime-material plane, making movement mu...

Sacrilege! Be happy, for I surely would have connived more devious ways to kill you than a simple !teleport. Something like even more detailed room descriptions - grizzlier, viler, and yet more disgusting than the current ones. The true fear and bane of players! So thank the current powers that be y...

Re: Rumors regarding Miax, and the MUD being made public

I only pray I can one up Cherzra, the man who helped half the noobs on the MUD figure out Hulburg, by being the king asshole Sojourn3 had ever seen! Also, you guys have a MUCH better version of the platform, that, may I add, is Kia/Miax/Mystraless. I've told myself I'd never post again but reading ...

Hey Asamoth, how's this for ancient? You wrote it almost 7 years ago. Why I play Toril/The Crazy Stuff I've done Cr'ing Kanthas from a room where demo and a succ is standing over his corpse, then after the cr was done, thinking that was too easy, walking back into the room, folowing demogorgon. Triozdinak's old title story

How's this for ancient: Triozdinak's title story! Only decrepit old has-beens will probably remember this. :D Triozdinak knew there was something wrong before he even heard the crunch. He didn't feel the satisfying resistance of drow flesh give way before the points of his two daggers. Instead, his ...
