I actually think that if you really look at the data, we can say pretty unequivocally that affirmative action has absolutely succeeded in its goal. You might not agree with the goal, but it has not been a failure.

You can only win primaries (this is especially true in California) by pandering to the extremes because independants are not allowed to vote in republican or democratic primaries and you cannot cross over if you wanted. Silicon Valley thrives despite the California State government, not because of it. Frankly, it is sort of an enigma in my opinion.

That said. . .the valley is the valley. There is a ton of investment money here and there is a ton of high end talent. That may or may not change over time, hard to say.

I did BS/MS in computer science followed by an MBA after 5 years of work experience. The MBA helped me transition my career into management and strategy. I am all about the rubber stamps.
