Re: Stun. What does it really do?

Doing my annual forum skim and I remember asking this question myself once upon a time. Stun itself does not deal damage. Charge does, as well as a number of other abilities with a stun component. Your damage probably came from charge and not from the fact that the mob became stunned. As far as I co...

I visit these forums once in a while, every few months or so, to see if there's anything new. I thought I'd reply here with my opinion as well. I played on Toril for a few months last year and quit, never looking back again. I knew this mud from before I did play on it, having had friends who played...

Possibly, but it still depends on whether or not we'll be seeing the same hit points system. It would have to be some very, very nice feats for a few extra of them to be worth more than the 150-200hp advantage that the beefier races have over humans, not to mention the better ac of trolls.

Sure, but you can't change most gear in combat so you'd have to decide if it's worth the trouble of disengaging and swapping around to get +25% (or less) to your 100hp heal.

This sounds good. Hopefully it'll add more depth to the caster classes. I have one suggestion to contribute with: make focus a choice, not just something that comes along with the bext +hp/+max_int equipment. Make your average invoker choose between a bunch focus that increases his damage or those e...

The final step away from stock

This is an idea for 2.0, something I'd like to see but don't expect everybody to agree with. I'm just throwing it out there because it was on my mind. I'd like to see Toril take the last step away from DIKU stock. I'm not talking about actual content, but there are still plenty of traces back to the...

What I'd like to see changed for paladins

I recently did a lot of levels as a paladin (brought one to 43 and another to 49 in a month) so while I'm no expert, here are a few conclusions that I've come to: - Re-mounting in combat needs to be an option. It has been suggested in just about every single thread on the subject, and I've never see...

Sorcerers will have more overall slots than wizards by a significant margin. That's the best I can give you at the moment. Glad to hear that, because it had me worried. I think this sounds really neat, but I do have some concerns. I know the staff is doing their best to keep things balanced, but the way it looks to me, this may be possible: A wizard of any kind can still cast many of the spells from the schools that he hasn't forfeited. Thus, could an invoker who k...

I'd be happy with a system of damage adjectives that didn't simply depend on how much of a mob's current hp you're taking away. It's silly how everyone's barely grazing a mob at first no matter what, and inflicting grievous wounds toward the end even if they're wielding pixie sticks.
