I've done some building on other muds, and I'm sure you'd have to make a new item with the different name. However, I've seen commands where you can copy an item from one vnum to another to allow a renaming without altering the original item. Changing the id flags isn't hard either. It's not very ha...

Ragorn, you are definitely right in what you say. But Nida is too. I guess I shoulda have written that more clearly. It's those people who are mentally unstable that use the weapons for the wrong ends. If someone like the JKF assassin is dead set on killing someone else, his lack of having a gun wil...

Can't stand it anymore. For all you people that say it's the gun's fault, BS. Several of my friends and I have grown up around guns. We've been shooting shotguns and rifles since we were big enough to hold one. And you wanna know who taught me gun safety? My parents. Their parents. They taught us ho...

I know of a corporation that changed over from US Air to Delta because the CEO's daughter was deathly allergic to peanuts, and US Air refused to quit serving them on their flights, while Delta did. She was allergic to the point where if she were sitting in the front, and someone in the back of the p...

Confiscations at your local airport!
I saw in another thread where someone lost their tweezers to airport security and I wanted to post this. It's insane. Three weeks ago I was flying to Providence, RI for a job interview and my father was flying to Indiana. We had the same flight outta town to Cinncinati, so we flew together. Well, my...

Ya know, I've been playing here since 1995, and I've never made it past level 36, but I do keep my eyes open, and have noticed cool things about nearly everyone mentioned here. Is it just me, or has anyone noticed that the polite, well thought out, non-slandering posts that players write when something needs to be looked into and fixed are the ones that 9 times out of 10 get a responding post from an admin? Being code dumb, I can't write the triggers for calling mob status. I don't know how to end the trig so it fires only once, and all that. Could someone share their set with me? I like the ones that call out mob name too.

Tick/timer script
I am code dumb as well, and would like a tick/timer script that would work off of the time command in the mud and start a timer that set off a command every few minutes (every 6 mud hours or so) to keep up with the time. I hate typing time all the time. I know, I'm lazy.

Zoning for Low level players
I've never actually played any of the larger zones on the mud, but I was kinda wondering if this had been thought about some. Low level zones that could be level restricted, so high level players can't enter, but that lower level players can form a group out of various classes, and tackle zones with...

It could be just me, but in most fantasy novels and stories, when elven homelands get invaded, it's usually to a ratio of 5 or 10 to one bad guy vs. elf. Ever notice how badass elves are? They can fight, they can move well, in every fantasy setting I've seen, elves are just badass warriors, with few...

ROFL! I wouldn't see it as a minor disadvantage... it's a spell for illusionists, a rather useful and powerful spell, that yuan-ti can't take advantage of because of their tail. Maybe put in a riding harness that you can make a horse wear, that will allow a yuan-ti to ride? even make it kinda heavy ...
