Crashes have no significant impact on the amount of eq that comes into the game from big zones, so that really is no reason not to help groups after a crash. The majority of the time the game doesn't crash. 'save points' in zones are fine with me if they're there, fine if they're not. That isn't rea...

I'm hoping that when we convert we keep our xp and that a 50 Enchanter requires more xp than a 50 Invoker. Even so it would truly be a windfall to change voker to enchanter and carry that xp over I think. I wear my grinding scars on Iyce's sleeve :P Having said that... if you're a fully quested invo...

Funny at least a couple of people said they're not in favor of putting players back to where they were in a zone after crash unless its (XX size zone). Those people offered no justification for their position. Why the hell not? If gods are available - which is what I said. I can understand gods sayi...

Well... for purposes of Toril I don't think the cleric spell Curse was ever intended to truly make a weapon into crap, else it would never be used on a weapon. Maybe we need to just rename the spell to NoDrop or something sexier, because really it is just intended to be that - make a weapon no-drop ...

At least eventually things will be rebalanced. Initially the imms probably won't have time to fine tune _everything_ before implementation. I believe they said they're going to use an algorhythm for the initial conversion and tweak things case by case as they see the need. Probably there will be a f...

Base vs Racially Modified Stats
Is there any use in game of base stats (the stats you see when you type 'att') or do all game mechanics refer to the racially modified stat? And are the 'notches' all that matter and nothing in between therefore? I realize the place at which max_stat gear is required looks at this, but... anything e...

I think the intent of sequester is to protect you from mobs, not your fellow players. It seems all inbound traffic is blocked - can't look at or tele -to- sequestered people. I smote a few low - mid level zones during multiplay weekend. I think it would be good for new players in some ways, you could take a new or under level player to a zone without having everyone bitch at them for holding them up and taking their gear. That could be a good use, you're right. Did anyo...

Some people like it, some don't. I think I don't, at least not regularly. What small chance there is for new people to group with established players doing low-level alts would vanish. Similarly, low and mid-level zones aren't bothered much nowadays. Change that to NEVER if we have a way to reliably...

Lost Character Name
I rolled a character yesterday, poked around for a few mins, logged him off at the inn in Scardale, and didn't write down him name!! *whap me*
Is there a way to get his name? I rolled him between 2100 and 2140 (Hawaii time) on 13 June. Troll Warrior.

Question - I want an alias that can snag a certain number of lines (say the last 10 lines) and append them onto a log file. I'm not getting anywhere with the help, though I'm sure it can't be too complex and should be doable. Thanks for any assistance!

I think Easter is like Christmas. You don't see Santa or Father Christmas etc. in the Bible either. Both holidays are a blend of Christian and pagan celebrations. To address the problem of many cool zones not getting done, much content left underutilized due to lack of good incentive... *Agree* At some points, the quest for balance may be overrated, but I'm quite certain that I don't agree with Llaaldara's suggestion to open the flood gates and implement with little oversight. Our oversight is probably already too lax but it is necessary. I do understand what she is going after tho...

I think intelligence influences how quickly chars learn/notch in all skills. The primary stat for that skill determines how well you do the skill or whether you do it, not whether you improve it (if you are doing it more due to high pri stat, of course you'll notch more, too, but higher int will giv...
