Had the same problem about a month ago...all sites were working fine, but couldn't connect to any services on the MUD box. Talk about a bummer. ;(

A perma-poisoned weapon, via proc, would definitely be a cool addition (a dagger that continually oozes goo, perhaps)...but something like that, to be fair, should also have a % chance of poisoning the wielder. If it's constantly dripping goo...sooner or later you're gonna get it on you, too. http:/...

That's gotta be worth somethin'...

Just my opinion - but if the shopkeeper mob isn't supposed to be killable, it should probably have the 'NOKILL' flag set on it to prevent it from even being attacked. There are also flags that could be set in the shop file for the mob that should make it non-killable.

EF seems to be a particularily bad place for this particular problem. My first time playing an elfie, it took me ages to figure out which mobs actually loaded with the eq. Not sure how other zones fare with regards to this problem...but EF seems to be the worst. The only problem with having eq repop...
