Gheal for shamans make perfect sense, Tinnel. Shaman are the group protectors of the tribal races, ie trolls, ogres, barbs, etc. It is their duty to provide group necessities. Group spell ups are part of a shaman's spell repertoire. I hope that helps clear that up for you, Tinnel.

Magic resistance
Okay, I think some low level mobs are resisting a bit too much. I cast spiritknife as my lvl 6 ogre shaman on orc slaves in DK and 3 times in a row they resisted. Plus they resist numerous totem darts. I think this needs to be toned down a bit. Or at lest look into this...

Okay, I don't want to start a war over which is better, but I had to put in my thoughts. You wanted to compare lines and phone lines for DSL use CAT-5 twisted pair just like ethernet. So, in fact, those lines are just as good. Now, there are tons of factors that will influence your DL speeds. Distan...

Oh, and Ruhr, the reason why DSL is better than cable is because you don't share your bandwidth with your neighbor. Just because the cable is thicker in diameter, doesn't mean faster speeds. You have to look at all the technology involved. Before ethernet, people used coax at what speed? 10Mbps. Eth...

It's not my provider since I have blazing speed to just about every other place. I checked the tracert to Sojourn and it takes about 18 hops to get there. On hops 12-14, the ping times are 2 to 3 times the rest of the trip. Also a few timed out. But it seemed rather lag free last night, so maybe it'...

*argh* Lag!!
Please, is there anything that can be done about the lag I've been experiencing? I'm using DSL in Phoenix and at times, the lag to Sojourn is just unbearable. I know for a fact that it will probably lead to unnecessary deaths. I have a feeling that it might be a west coast problem since some players...

Lyt, I think I might know what is happening. Make sure that after you input your minimum stats that you input 8 for number of stats required for roller to stop. I'm not sure why that was put in, but I would imagine that everyone would want all the stats to match what they want. Hope that makes sense...

Twinkies
This morning I was eating a Twinkie for breakfast when I started wondering where in the heck did someone come up for calling someone a twinkie for twinking. Since when did our beloved golden, cream-filled sponge cakes come to mean someone who exploits, abuses, etc.? BTW, anyone try the banana Twinki...

Yay! Some great points on either side of the visible exp debate. I still disagree that being able to see your exp will cause less RPing. If you want to RP, are you not going to continue to RP regardless of being able to see stats and exp? Are you saying that the invisible exp will *force* you to RP?...

I just think it's lame that when you got to a stat notch, it gave you a *huge* boost rather than with a sliding scale giving you small increment boosts. Don't you think 94 str should be better than 93 str? Well, with 93 str being the last notch, it isn't. That's my point and the same with Cherzra. Y...

The thread that Cherzra is referring to is "Character Stat Effect" by Ragorn. I agree with Cherzra. Seeing your stats at character generation is not going to give you better stats than if you could see them at 25. Also, I totally agree that stats should be on a sliding scale rather than notches. 94 ...
