Hate to say it, but there's no cheap way to get that drive back online. The only thing I can suggest has probably already been suggested 10 times. Just be ready for it next time. Keep an older spare drive (6.4 gig drives are dirt cheap, even new ones) as a datastore and do a copy-over every so often...

My first character was a human paladin named Iaiken (on soj2 where paladins REALLY sucked and used thier horses as tanks) I got him upto level 41, found out that an average statspread of 74 in my primary stats was abhorant, I rerolled for MUCH better but only got to level 33 when the mud went down.....

Yeah, it's totally possible, but you need a multilevel photosuite and to break ALL of the histogram levels into differinglayers. delete 2 or 3 of the ones that contain the brightest light, then recompile them. THere might be a simpler way, but this is the only way I know... texturing is fun guy.
