Oh it's not that they think that a casual player's time means nothing, but rather that it means less than a "real player's" time, and people think that bidding systems should reflect that.

When you put it that way Kiryan, it makes sense.

I suppose the problem is the implicit (or sometimes even explicit) aggrandizement of the "hardcore mudder" over the "casual mudder" that often accompanies systems that are not straight dicing.

Melee flavor

Let's look at what we have in terms of melee choices on the mud: 1. Warrior/Paladin/Antipaladin: Prime purpose is not to damage, but to tank. Most of the really good warrior types wear hitpoint and ac gear. 2. Ranger/Dire: A good/evil only class that most people hate, only used for stuff where melee...

Some of the leetest content in the game could go to evilrace only, thus more hardcore players would start playing evilrace more than they do, and thus more people would gravitate towards them in the hopes of being "in" with the hardcore.

A thing to make fiends a little scarier.

As I recall, Pit Fiends, and possibly some of the other uber Fiend types, get the Wish spell once a year. So perhaps this could come in the form of a proc that will let them: 1. Instantly kill a pc 2. Heal himself to full instantly 3. Summon a super powerful demon, mage, etc to help fight the party....
