My paladin Soruna was once named Seru, which I chose because I thought it was legal until I found that any fictional name, not just D&D, is illegal. I was 32 when I asked to have it changed and it was changed, but the imm almost seemed annoyed that I even bothered.

As I see it: It's not that we want all characters to be "equal." Because, as stated before, merely having max skills doesn't make you uber. You only get what you put into it. If you put enough effort into it, you can be as good as Pava or Ashiwi, regardless of whether or not they got a break on skil...

There would be difference. In how you use those skills. Merely having them doesn't make you a good player. So why not let them have it? They'd still have to work hard in order to become leet, they just wouldn't have to put in mind numbing hours of skill practice.
