Conversions from zmud 6.22 to 6.23
Hi Group, I was just wondering if anyone here has had any luck converting aliases and trigger-sets between these two versions. The main area of concern appears to be zugg's new "string" data-type, and the lack of a "pattern matching" method for string-lists. The new stringlists cause the additem and...

Another up-side to this (hypothetical) modification/toggle going in is that it will be a fairly solid upgrade for bards. Ok well, a tiny upgrade, but it helps. And I imagine that there is a place in the code where this engaging can be trivially toggled, as fairly frequently when I am casting on a mo...

Hi guys, For a perspective on buffing tanks, as an enchanter I really wouldn't mind being one of two or three required "buffing" classes for some big fights (hell, we already _are_ one of two required buffing classes, the other being clerics). Very big fights that is. Of course, along with that ther...

Zrax, If you want to compare spells on a spell-by-spell-one-for-one basis, NOBODY compares to enchanters. Kiryan, Obviously, you are speaking from a "doing xp" perspective, which, imo, is meaningless. Pris WILL blind/para/feeb people in a crowded room,...

A potential new enchanter spell.
In a thread on invokers I wrote this, but thought it could use it's own thread: I _do_ think enchanters would be well served by a high-level quest area that _only_ does random enchantments. I'm thinking it could have two "modes".. cast on group and cast on enemies. On the group, it puts random encha...

Lack of protection spells: I am confident that an enchanter in your groups would be happy to toss you the occasional pre-stone prior to spellups for big fights, and the like (armor from paladins/clerics, bark from rangers), though I admit it wouldn't be terribly unbalancing to give invokers somethin...

How about this: Ranger "charm" works on any mount-animal (perhaps some class/hps limitation) and any "medium" or smaller non-mount-animal under Nth level. Lets put N at 10-15. This alias will switch weapons between up to four "modes", and can be adapted for more variations, of course (such as floating versions of all modes, etc). Hi Kuurg, One possible solution is to convert your variable into a string list, so replace each space with a "|". You can then use the string functions such as #additem (or %additem) and #delitem (or %delitem) to remove individual words. An example would be: #var fumble {%replace(@fumble," ","|");#d...

I find typing "forget all" works very well for re-ordering spell-lists, though there is a fair bit of typing involved.
