Yaya, I think the point they're trying to make about what's wrong with that is that there's definitely a trend here toward being like many other muds, where anybody can set themselves up with a flashy, super-ansi-ized title for whatever they want it to be. When I was searching for a mud to play one ...

I hate to agree with Galok on this point, but I do. Warrior is the one class I really don't want to play, simply because the majority of the useful stuff I could do for a group would have to be handled more by my computer than by me. You miss a switch or a mob walking into the room, suddenly your he...

I am the queen of broken quests, trust me. A whole year I spent on those BGR quests, gnashing my teeth, pulling out my hair. BUT! In the time I was trying to do them I learned more about this mud than I ever would have without them. A lot of people would say what I've found while crawling through th...

Aliases for spells, only because css is so much easier than 'cast 'stone skin'' and i have a tendency to want to type the whole word instead of the abbreviations like 'c' for cast. No eat/drink trigger, but I do use an alias for stacked commands to pull it all out of my bags. I use a stand trigger.....

I didn't say that somebody else getting told the quest instead of figuring it out bothered me. As far as somebody else having all the spanky quest items, more power to them, I'll get what I get when I get around to getting it, I enjoy it more that way most of the time. I just keep wishing there were...

This is the newer Sojourn, where we have a much more relaxed atmosphere, but oh, the price we pay. There is next to no roleplay left in the mud, and the majority of the players seem to want a hack-and-slash, no-thinking-required type of atmosphere. You can't expect people to have to put in the work ...

Actually, nothing against anybody here, but I think looking for the perfect stats is like sitting around rolling a character for actual D&D... the kind of rolling where you roll your dice a couple of hundred times to make sure you have stats like 18.82, 17, 17, 18, 13, 17, 16, 15. I'm just thankful ...

::snicker:: They say there's a town fool in every town. I thought Yayaril's interjection, although not completely RP, was a refreshing change of pace from the typical "I'm such a hero, look at me, I'm tough, life has a pattern and I must be at its center" type of story. One of my pet peeves about RP...

As far as I can tell, the amount of damage you do to a mob is reversed onto you when you're not globed. Oh yes, I definitely see the problem with quest items in justice controlled areas. Stupid BGR quests are chock full of BG items.
