not complaining about the elves. I'm complaing about the halflings. Just like grey elf int points are worth 1.5 per human's 1 point - halflings dex should notch better than it does. And it's not really silly to expect innate (from dwarf, other single attack/round races) attacks gained from max_dex, ...

I remember other threads about max_dex. Trouble is gods just ignore them. They never reply that is, as far as I remember. What is the point of max_dex if you don't gain the benefits? When you hit the dex rung of an elf, gnome, halfling, whichever, you should get the innate attacks they get. They onl...

Is max_dex broken?

I find it odd that a halfling's dex is worth more per point than a drow, gnome, etc. Yet 115 dex only seemed to give 1 notch to halfling, whereas 115 for drow and maybe grey elf both raised TWO notches from that. I know grey elf int notches are about every 8 points above 100, so given that, why aren...

To be honest, it's one of the things KILLING this mud..and a lot of others. New games don't require mindless drone action such as 'skills practice.' I can't help but wonder if it could be made to be not so TEDIOUS to notch melee skills (rogue/bard/warrior..dodge even) I have found it very strange that casting stuff notches really quickly but bash shieldpunch kick dodge and all that good stuff, sneak hide etc. just do not notch easily. enervate vs. contagion

I'm not too keen on the D&D rules, but why wouldn't both necromancer and enchanter get both? Contagion seems very short duration so I doubt that's over powered. Actually, enchanter has they ray, slow, stumble(wither?) effects in single form. A necromancer would be able to enervate as well, no?

Seems more like shotgun policing. Some gods like Talona catch it, which is good, and others either are busy or maybe think it's funny?

Actually, you can't keep em down, unless they start the fight first. Trip or bashing a mob when YOU start the fight, they have a chance to stand/flee, which most rogue mobs take advantage of.
