I like the idea of making the low end game more involved. I hope incorporating Feats in 2.0 will result in lowbie quests that require group play to achieve. In addition, adding quests to achieve certain levels could add a group play requirement to the low end game. Of course, the Achilles' heal to t...

If there were some way to SAVE the zone, I wouldn't care if the zone took 3 weeks. But, since we're limited to a single sitting I think 10-12 is the most I could ever do these days. Maybe 14-16 if I had the entire weekend off and my wife was out of town.

I agree with Gormal. DikuMUD is to graphical MMORPGs as Linux is to Microsoft. Think about it, there are many parallels: free admission, volunteer coders, not as user-friendly as a graphical interface, etc. For me, this MUD endorses the original philosophy of the Internet itself, as Linux does, rath...

Tips on Rolling a New Char

Basic Tips: (1) Spending time rolling a character with good stats will increase your enjoyment of the game, since it will be a more powerful character. While you can roll a decent, playable character for most classes quite readily, be prepared to spend on the order of hours to roll a character with ...

Frankly I'm not entirely sure I understand why multiplaying is illegal. The more chars one logs on, the higher is the risk of dying. If we offered multiplay routinely, I wonder if it would attract new players.
