It seems unlikely that invokers would ever get a pet. If they did, it would have to be so small that it could not be used to tank, as that would negatively affect game balance. I often wish I could make a small pet though, to see into dark rooms, test unexplored portals for aggros, etc.

Invokers --Keep the damage that all their spells do, get rid of all of the spell procs. This is a damage class and I'm not convinced the spell procs both fit the role of the class AND are needed to make the class useful in a zone. I fought a mob in WD tonight. The mob called for help. I died a couple rounds later. After I logged back in, guards came and arrested me. Seems kind of buggy so I thought I'd mention it here. The expected behavior was after dying the guards would not come.

I think it depends on the item. When presented with, a large diamond for example, most mobs would thank the person and keep it I'd think. Something like a dripping spider head might cause the mob to gasp and drop the item.
