"feedback". If you cast a powerful area spell, it can really zap ya good. As the caster, if you cast an interacting spell at the same time as another, ZAP. Thus the need for well timed and called spells.

This is a known rogue bug however, it being not much of any kind of big issue, it is back burner. Unfortunately it has been around for years and years. When rogues get overhauled (which they will) this issue will be solved.
