After the pbase is down to like 20 people don't you think the argument that making tia last 8 hours or 2x8 hours is bad because otherwise it will be done every weekend is lacking a tiny bit of perspective? Or better a dead mud that holds to standards that were valid 10 years ago when we were in coll...

Shev The changes look impressive, looks like most gameplay issues are addressed. Allow me to make one critical comment, or ask one critical question rather as I can't know how things work out: Looking at the changes they don't seem to address the biggest problem facing this game, the discrepancy bet...

Bran, I think atm even SC takes too long to do. From what I see zones that get done atm are zones like Brass, swamps, FP, Crypts, TF, short TTF etc. Zones that don't require a full group and take roughly 1 hour. And even those zones don't get done often because of lack of rewards. (With the exceptio...

I think Ross is pretty spot on. I think we should: Mid Level - these are the most important zones which we want to get done often and should not need full groups. They should all be worth doing in terms of eq! Crypts: pretty much ok as is, maybe put in 1 (rareload) good item. SF: I think the endfigh...

I wasn't there for invasion, but even if I was there I wouldn't have been able to come. 6+ hour zones i have to plan ahead and even then I only can spend that much time during the weekend. Hell if it's more than 3-4 hours i have to plan it. The pbase is shrinking, everybody is shouting that zones ta...

I think this mud has a few big problems that have gone unaddressed for too long. 1) The content doesn't match the players. Players don't have time, an zones are getting longer. This mud doesn't lack content, but most zones don't get done because either the zones take to long, or the rewards suck. 2)...

SWG has a solution for this. As your skill progesses you can't make low level things. For example if you're a level 1-10 weaponsmith you can make screws, a level 50 can make blasters, but can't make scews, he needs a level 1-10 weaponsmith for that. Of course SWG works with skill levels so it makes ...

What is missing imho is lack of stuff to do for small groups/solo. Half the time there aren't enough people online to zone or even form an xp group. It would be nice if there would be small zones or quests aimed at the off-peak players. Make quests were people can gain xp. Maybe some more eq quests ...

So long.
Dear fellow mudders, Time has come for me to say farewell. I've come to the conclusion I don't have the time anymore to play this game. Toril is costing more and more time to play (Tia, longer and longer quests and zones) and I find myself having less and less time. Hence the time has come for me to...

I think you all shouldn't discard Kwirl's idea as totally worthless that fast. Though I don't believe in buying in game items since it would destroy the game, I don't see the harm in placing ads on the forums and site. It could generate some cash along with some donations to keep this game afloat. I...

Ambar, You are totally missing the point here. This isn't about the CR or difficulty. Saying we want it more easy is an easy answer and totally ignores what I was talking. Magma is a hard zone. And that is fine with me. Í don't care about cr's. I just don't like it when i spend hours in a long zone ...

Thanks for the response Eili. Nobody is blaming you (or any other coder) for crashes. It's inherent to writing software, and everybody knows that. So crashes happen. And so will bad things that come with these. The ideal solution would be to save the state of the mud regularly, and even that won't s...

Well I was in the magma group last night. We spent 8 hours working our way to the last fight, and started it. It's a damn hard zone by all standard and we had racked up about 50-60 corpses by then. And then it crashed. No eq, since all eq loads on the final mob, 8 hours down the drain and a lot of x...

I find it funny Israel is mentioned as a country opposed to terrorism. Do any of you know how it was founded originally? By blowing up innocent civillians to convince the Britsh who controlled the country at the time to give the Jews their own country. The leader of this terrorist band responsible f...

My 5 picks, all have been mentioned before: 1) Agree with removing useless spell_cast skills. I want to be able to max all my skills. 2) A way to label bag, and add the label to the keywords and description: You are carrying: a tattered sack <airship_items> a tattered sack <quest_items> a tattared s...

I fail to see why elementalists (or druids) are overpowered. Sure they can solo well, but to balance it out they are hardly useful for zoning. If ele's are overpowered than so are enchanters and clerics. No zones are ever done without one. All these classes are not overpowered but well balanced. If ...

Rareloads
I love to do quests but due to the current long boots, and those bad coders solving all those crashes it has become a lot harder these days. Add to that that I'm playing mostly in the off-hours and finding the neccesary rares for quest becomes quite hard. Hardly any reboots happen during the off-hou...

Forming a Scorx run april 23rd
After Selerial's run went pretty well with a limited number of deaths, it seems safe to try and finish the longest quest I've ever done as well. I'm planning to do the run at april 23rd around 2pm EST, maybe later if more people are available then. I'll probably use Naled(50 ench) instead of Menliro...
