Why do you care about Sojourn?

Well I've always been a fan of RPG games like Final Fantasy where you kill stuff, get exp to get levels and get loot. The story was cool too. Soj3 has exp to get levels and loot. It also has a "story" or history or whatever; the story is the players and the game itself.

The people. I tried this place, my first mud ever, out of sheer boredom. If the people hadn't been so great I would have never stayed. I made some great friends that helped me through some hard times, and I'll never forget them.

It's home.

I got past severe depression here - Toril was my lifeline. I met Sylvos here. I met most of my friends here, to be honest. And although I've had to move about 19 times so far, this place will be here whenever I can get to a computer.

I don't really have 'a family back home,' except here.

I play for the people .. I play for the friendships I have made ... Have just recently had my first falling out with another player and it has affected me deeply ... hopefully we will both stop being stubborn and make up ... You are all my *other* family .. my sisters and brothers, cousins, aunts and uncles .. I care when you are hurt, get angry when you are wronged ... I watch you and can see when you are stressed, and I try to help you with your problems ...

Addiction. I seem to start going into withdrawl if I don't play a game with hitpoints and experience for too long. RPGs seem to be along the lines of oxygen and water for me, and Sojourn is always there even during slow release seasons for commercial games.

I enjoy playing, having fun with friends, spending my evenings relaxing.

heheheh E .... no way .. in fact my initial reaction was 5 years as Shalia one and a half as Ambar and i make a bimble story as ambar :P

The thing i like is making friends with noobs and watching them slowly get to lvl 50 while you are down still in the 20's and 30's......that and whenever you get mad or bored of it you can just take a little time away from it(not so with real life)
