I was discussing conduct (ethics, I suppose) with a friend, and she said, "I can do anything I want, just so long as it doesn't physically harm other people."

So that got me thinking. How many people prescribe to this belief?

Personally, I find it a bit odd, as there is a lot you can do to mess with someone short of physically harming them... but then, perhaps that's intentional.

Indeed, in a sense, everything you do harms somebody (though hopefully not by design). Everything you do to succeed will make it that much harder for others to, and everything you do that harms your success will harm your associates as well.
