Beat this for best song to zone with.

Postby Kuurg » Fri Jan 18, 2002 9:55 pm

Music from Pee Wee's Big Adventure. Danny Elfman outdid himself with this. Creepy carnival music....drool.

Sorry, best song for me to zone with is "Magic Carpet Ride." Works well for all zones, but especially any time I'm in the desert.

I like to play "I Love You, You Love Me" by that popular purple dinosaur, Barney. Especially when dragon huntin'!

Danny Elfman is a genius. I love his music in Beetlejuice.

Heh, okay, I have to admit there are a lot of Danny Elfman songs that fit... especially at 3W.

I have yet to be in a zone that isn't complemented by one or more songs from Pink Floyd's "The Wall." Usually in my groups though it's "Run Like Hell."

Back when Sojourn was Toril, I used to run Bush's "Sixteen Stone" on repeat and MUD in 8-12 hour sessions. I can't hear that album anymore without my fingers twitching.

So What? - Misfits
Of Wolf And Man - Metallica (For IC, I always seem to walk into the zone when the wolves are running around)
Sanitarium - Metallica (That's for when I've been online for 8+ hours and real life starts fading away)
Living Dead Girl - Rob Zombie (For CRs)
And anytime I have to run like a bat out of hell... (No pun intended)
Happy 2b Harcore... Any one of them
Either that or DJ Keoki Image
The "Speedracer Song" kinda makes me chuckle when I'm in WD and hear the "womans' erotic cries" Image

Metallica is great, period Image
Well, their music, I feel they really sold out...
And I don't mean over Garage Inc... Anyone who thinks that album was them "selling out" should check the dates those tracks were recorded... Image

Guess my fav would be Pantera.
Nothing like cranking 'Walk' way the hell up and doing some serious killin. 'Cemetary Gates' and 'Hollow' work real well too. As does NiN 'Deep'.

And if you happen to be in the mood for some mindless exp, anything by Bloodhound Gang helps ease some of the monotony. 'Pacman' and 'Hell Yeah' top my list. As far as BHG goes, I swear I've followed leaders before that had to be listening to 'I Hope You Die'.

Hrm, all this music talk, gots to hear 'Walk' now that I'm thinking about it.

Turos - null

Lessee.

Any Tool.
"The End" by the Doors
"Kind of Blue" Miles Davis. The whole thing.
"Ahh Umm" Charles Mingus
Just about any Wagner. But especially Sigfried's Death March
Any Zeppelin. Cause they frickin rock. But especially Achilles' Last Stand, and Kashmir.
Soundtrack to Conan the Barbarian. That's prolly the ultimate gaming soundtrack.

"What are the best things in life?"
"To defeat your enemy; to see him driven before you; and to hear the lamentations of his women."

Dj the crazy lil bastard who doesn't get to mud enough anymore

"To Crush Your Enemy, See them Driven Before you, and to hear the Lamentations of their Women." Conan

Love that quote too... and Wagner... Die Valkeryie (sp)

"I love the smell of Napalm in the morning..... smells like.... Victory"

Carl Orf also does ok on the music for zoning, but I may have misspelled his name.

I couldn't agree more. I found "Ticks and Leeches" to be the most befitting song for the Quturac battle in Cave City, try it sometime, it's QUITE a rush.
