Xolan is going to be a daddy!

Postby Xolan » Tue May 21, 2002 11:05 am

So I am going to be a dad. I have been kinda in and out of the mud for a few months and have now come to grips with fatherhood!

I was thinking of a few silly names.. but eep! I told the better half that if it was a girl, she could pick the name.. and if its a boy.. she agreed to let me have the sole decision in his name...

So help me out! What kinda new names are out there for a 90 percent german kid!

Lol, when i mentioned a mud name, she chased me around the house with a frying pan!

she thought i was serious! Muhahahaha....

Huh Huh.. I'm having a duckling.

Xolan.. Mighty Duckster......

Congratulations Xolan!!!!!!

Well, if you're an SNL fan, you could go w/ Hans or Franz. Klaus is always solid, as is Maximillian. You could trip them up and go with Guellermo (spanish for Willhelm).

I'd go with something that avoids the frying pan treatment though, so best to run whatever it is by the wifey before you come to your final decision.

Congratulations on spawning a tiny clone of yourself, Xolan.

I suggest the name of Magnus or Max.

How about Lon or alternate spelling Lahn

Then you'd have a child named

Lahn Maurer

When my son was born, it didn't matter that we'd preferred the name Jason for a child. His name just seemed so obvious and well suited to him, it wasn't even an issue what to call him.

But maybe we're just weird. Image

Give him a name that won't make the kids at school pick on him his whole life... you know... like Brutus, Egor, Elmo, or Dick.

Congrats!

I like the name Joshua.
It's elegant, yet powerful.
Refined and proper, yet commanding of respect.
The name feels in the mouth like the first bite of a plump, succulent fruit freshly picked in the dawning rays of a brisk, dewy morning.

yeah..

what could would NOT want to be "Daz"
like
"Daz da Man"
"Daz tha Pimp"
"DazDiggity"

the possibility of a life of sexual promiscuity before birth will be enough for your son to love you forever.

Geez Sart. You make the name Joshua sound so gross. Give a him a manly name! Not some fruity squishy name like Joshua. How about Matthew? Now that's a man's name if I ever heard one! Manly Manly!
Also, it means "gift of god" and that's what I am...err, I mean, that's what all children are...of course.

Congrats!!

Brandon for a boy, Ashleigh for a girl.

My children are named Brandon Blair and Ashley Paige, so I might be biased. My daughter tells me all the time she loves her name, but once I told her that I had considered spelling it "Ashleigh" instead of "Ashley" and she's told me ever since that she wishes I had. Lesson learned: It doesn't matter what you name them, they won't be satisfied with it anyway.
