Roses are dead/ I played you too
by Meighan

Roses are dead
Violets are too
I'm still in love
But not with you
You thought you hurt me
And made me cry
But I was in love
With another guy
Simply because you have
No class
All you can do
Is kiss my a$$
You sit around
And talk your $hit
So f*** you and your
Little a$$ d!ck
You thought you left me
But I left you
What my man is doing
You can't do
You tell your homies
You played me like a b!tch
And I tell my girls
You have a little d!ck
You said you loved me
But it wasn't true
Well guess what Motha F**ka
I played you too.

Once upon a time
A handsome bumblebee
Fell in love with a butterfly
He met in a tulip tree

He said "I love you madly
I want to share your life
Let's fly away together
Will you be my wife?"

She looked at him in sorrow
"No, no, no!" cried she
For I am a monarch's daughter
And you are just a son of a bee

This'll just prove im gradeschool, yo.

Early one morning
late at night
two dead men
got up to fight.

Back to back
they faced eachother
pulled their swords
and shot eachother.

A deaf policeman
heard the noise and
came to arrest those
two dead boys.

And if you dont
believe my lie is
true, you can ask
the blindman who
saw it too.

make me dig into my old poetry, hmm, here goes:
"Mercyful Dusk"
As published in, "The silence within"

When the day gives way to night
Theres another world beyond the veil
Where the deadly shadows mask true sight
A place from which the unreal hail

Things untold come to hollow light
As I await the tainted tests of dawn
Do I dare to face the tests of men?
Or have they missed me since I've gone

Your time has little meaning now
When all is done and said and told
Rest alone shall claim this dark hour
I find the different loneliness of old

Dare I leave this haven now
Or do I dare to slowly fade away
Nothings left of whats been told
Of the darker blood of yesterday

The black does hide the truth of all
And there I find that when I stare
The light flares darkest of all
When you wish that you were there

What do you think? I almost never get feedback! good or bad I dont care!

I woke early one morning, The earth lay cool and still.
When suddenly a tiny bird Perch on my window sill,
He sang a song so lovely, So carefree and so gay,
That slowly all my troubles, Began to slip away.
He sang of far off places, Of laughter and of fun,
It seemed his very trilling, Brought up the morning sun.
I stirred beneath the covers, Crept slowly out of bed,
And gently lowered the window, And crushed his fuc#ing head.

Was it an owl?

A tasty barn owl?

Perhaps worthy of being made into a pair of boots?

Kinda like Ionari's owl?

Ok, so this isn't humorous, but it's my favorite excerpt from any poem.

From Renascence by Edna St. Vincent Millay

Long had I lain thus, craving death,
When quietly the earth beneath
Gave way, and inch by inch, so great
At last had grown the crushing weight,
Into the earth I sank till I
Full six feet under ground d lie,
And sank no more,—there is no weight
Can follow here, however great.
From off my breast I felt it roll,
And as it went my tortured soul
Burst forth and fled in such a gust
That all about me swirled the dust.

Deep in the earth I rested now;
Cool is its hand upon the brow
And soft its breast beneath the head
Of one who is so gladly dead.

Scary how this poem came true...

I see her face in my dreams,
Her smile is to live for,
Don’t know why I think these things,
I miss her and this I know.

But for her I am a shell,
My heart aches for wholeness,
Don’t know why I feel this way inside,
But I love her and this I know.

To get where I need to go,
I will try alone for now,
Don’t know where I’ll end up in this world,
Not alone and this I know.

Okay, my favorite all-time poem which is NOT humorous.

Annabel Lee by Edgar Allan Poe

It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
By the name of Annabel Lee;
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me.

I was a child and she was a child,
In this kingdom by the sea;
But we loved with a love that was more than love--
I and my Annabel Lee;
With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven
Coveted her and me.

And this was the reason, that long ago,
In this kingdom by the sea,
A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling
My beautiful Annabel Lee;
So that her high-born kinsman came
And bore her away from me,
To shut her up in a sepulchre,
In this kingdom by the sea.

The angel, not half so happy in heaven,
Went envying her and me...
Yes!--that was the reason (as all men know,
In this kingdom by the sea)
That the wind came out of the cloud by night,
Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee.

But our love it was stronger by far than the love
Of those who were older than we,
Of many far wiser than we--
And neither the angels in heaven above,
Nor the demons down under the sea,
Can ever dissever my soul from the soul
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee,

For the moon never beams, without bringing me dreams
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And the stars never rise, but I feel the bright eyes
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side
Of my darling--my darling--my life and my bride,
In the sepulchre there by the sea,
In her tomb by the sounding sea.

Each thought there was one cat too many
So they fought and they fit

I wrote this one day when I was feeling very alone

The water ripples in blues and greens
lapping gently at the rocky shore
The wind whispers in my ear
caresses my bare flesh
a yellow orange sun shines brightly
through cotton candy clouds
the trees dance to the melody of birdsongs

green and golden grass
the deep harmony of frogs
the gossip of a wandering stream
the kiss of the dew
a fiery sunset
the ocean wraps her arms around him
allowing diamonds to be scattered on dark blue silk

i can fly here
to be icarus but never losing my wings
i can sing here
my voice rivaling that of the sweetest nightingale
i can laugh here
be as carefree as my friend the brook
i can dream here
i can sleep here
i have peace here

i can love here
yes its beautiful
the stars smile down on my face
and the fireflies dance
i want to fall on my knees
and let it all soak in

but then a voice calls
and i feel a tug on my soiled dress
i hang my head
warm tears water the soft earth
i must return
i must leave this place
and then darkness

the moon shines
and i can see the glitterdust that allowed me to fly

Woohoo, shameless self-plug time!

Four

Upon the blackest
Of the elder nights
Four horsemen rode
Across the skies

Fire rained down
On the villages below
Creating an eerie
And malevolent glow

People did run
To seek shelter from pain
Seeking an alcove
Safe from the flames

And the horsemen rode on
Screeching aloud
And all mortals cowared
From the hideous sound

All mortals but one
Quivered in fear
The last day of December
Before the new year

The man did stand tall
And seemed bathed in holy light
The people looked on him
And pondered the sight

He cast his gaze
All over the lands
Burning and smoking
In the devil's hands

And he spake aloud
So that many could hear
"Fear not my breathren,
For your savior is here!"

And with that he burst forth
Mounting a white steed
Calling and yelling
For all to take heed

"Let now your voices
Ring out in fair song!
The hour is nigh!"
He bellowed to the throng

And their heads raised up
And they looked to the skies
"Let heaven come down
And bring evil's demise!"

They amassed under the banner
A shield of pure white
A field of 8 stars
On a cloudless night

They took up the prayer
And chanted on high
"T'amoren kala mena
Sei alaha miga kai!"

The dread horsemen spurred on
Paying no heed
To the sun's rebirth
Rising far in the east

Slowly night faded
And the fires did cease
As the chanting continued
And ushered in peace

The horsemen were driven off
Dark steeds and all
To return to wreak havoc
When the banner did fall

But that day was far off
And the people rebuilt
Unburdened by envy
Greed, sloth or guilt

And the people prospered
Under the blue skies
Unaware of the evil
Creeping back in disguise

To destroy once again
To create death all around
The warlord of the sinners
Far below ground

Here's one of my favorites by Shel Silverstein:

Boa Constrictor

I'm being eaten by a boa constrictor, boa constrictor, boa constrictor, and I don't like it one bit.

Whaddaya know, it's nibblin' my toe.

Oh gee, it's up to my knee.

Oh my, it's up to my thigh!

Oh fiddle, it's up to my middle.

Oh heck! It's up to my neck!

Oh dread! It's up to my mmmph!!
