Depends on what you are looking for. Haven't been to those, though.

Some recommendations:
Carlos and Charley's, Isle de Cozumel .
Pat O'Brian's in New Orleans, LA.

Hunter's Lodge (they just made it off-limits for US Military .. gotta be good) Manama, Bahrain
Silky O'Sullivan's Memphis, TN
The Liquor Dome Halifax, N.S.
Crocodile Rock's Norfolk, VA

I like bars where you DO things .. not just get drunk (tho the liquor is a big bonus)

I'm spent many a crazy night at the Red Carpet and The Press in St Cloud.

Another of my favorites would be The Library in La Crosse, WI.

My favorite of all though is Sam's Bar and Lounge here in Marshall, MN. Mostly because they have Skee-Ball, and for every scoring level you get on the game you get tickets that you can turn in for prizes or for Toys for Tots. I generally turn them in to Toys for Tots. Also Sam's is quiet so you can carry on a conversation and they have the best Bloody Marys in SW MN!

I used to love "Mingle" in Gothenburg.
Small cozy place, with a few tables outside in the sun. All female personel, soft jazz music and cold beers.

Damn, why did I move.

I went to a bar in Seville (Spain) once called "El Hobbit". And yes, the inside was decorated in a fantasy motif.

That place rocked.

Hehehe, Knock Knocks, Group Therapy, and there's this other little bar on the main road through 5pts, just can't remember the name of it.

Oh, another one is the jazz club on main st. Mac's on Main, gawd they have some GREAT bands there. Beer's a bit expensive there though.

Up here in Providence, RI, there's a club called Mardi Gras, very sweet, 4 clubs in one, Country Bar, Hard Rock, Dance, and Oldies all in one Image

In lovely Ft. Collins, CO, current favorites would be Linden's (jazz/blues bar who's had BB King, Matt Guitar Murphy among others play there), and Elliott's (martini bar).

Past ones here would include a college bar "The Library" a true classic dive bar from the 3.2 beer 18 yr old drinking days, The Ram Skeller (washed away in the flood of 1998) on campus bar I worked at and "lived" at most of my college years. The Skeller Dwellers still get together for Memorial Day pig roast. Tony's (before remodel) made it into Playboys top 25 bars in the country, another classic dive.

Slidell, LA's The Balcony was a drunken hoot as well, but most of my N'Orleans memories are too fuzzy to talk about.

Oh god, I can't believe I forgot one.. it's one of my favorites.

East Ave Cafe - Pawtucket, RI

Good beer, hot waitresses, and a beautiful female bartender that can go toe to toe with anything.

in washington dc The eighteenth street lounge. the door has a two-way mirror where the doorman can see you but you cant see him, he choses if you are worthy to get in... hehe

Dragonfly in washington dc also... all white with cool art on the walls. they serve sushi and the best long island ice teas...

Nikki's at the Beach in south beach, miami. Its right on the beach with tents and benches, outside where you can look up at the stars while sipping on a pina colada. If you go during the day most girls are sunbathing, and have bikinis on. If you go during WMC, world class dj play there. Best show ever was two years ago, when Basejaxx and Fat boy slim played while partying Naomi Campbell... ahh the memories

There is a bar in Longville, MN just off of Woman Lake called the docksider. Man do they serve stiff ones. We pulled off the lake one day to get a drink and play a game of darts. I didn't notice how they were mixing them. I just drank them. Never did finish the game. The nail in the coffin was the liquor store attached to it. This way you can take one for the road (lake). It became a favorite stop ever since. Just don't go on a Wednesday or you will get caught up in the Turtle races that happen in front of it. I noticed a couple of peeps mention bars in Minnesota. Who is from there?
