Top ten reasons to build an area for SojournIII:

10. Your area will live longer here, than on 99% of the muds on the net.
9. Your area will forever be a part of something you already love.
8. Your area will be played by the best mudders on the net.
7. Your eq will be worn by hundreds of people, who will be proud to have earned something you created.
6. The world you create will be a place people on the other side of the earth will want to visit.
5. The endless challenge of coming up with something that hasn't been done before.
4. The endless search for ways to use the capabilities of the area files in ways that were never intended. (orig. rareloads for instance)
3. It's the ultimate "Kilroy was here".
2. You get a god on the greatest mud in history.

And by far, the biggest thrill of all:

1. The utter thrill of those sweet sweet status messages when the first group enters your zone:

***STATUS: Player1 killed by Mahdrel at The Vault Guard's Post
***STATUS: Player2 killed by Mahdrel at The Vault Guard's Post
***STATUS: Player3 killed by a vault sentinal at The Vault Guard's Post
***STATUS: Player4 killed by a vault sentinal at The Vault Guard's Post
***STATUS: Player5 killed by a vault sentinal at The Vault Guard's Post
***STATUS: Player6 killed by a vault sentinal at The Vault Guard's Post
***STATUS: Player7 killed by Mahdrel at The Vault Guard's Post
***STATUS: Player8 killed by Mahdrel at The Vault Guard's Post
***STATUS: Player9 killed by Mahdrel at The Vault Guard's Post

I'd love to run a reverse dungeon (a la Chaos Christmas) where the players get to run the Imms through a zone or two:

***STATUS: Miax killed by pixie at A widdle clearing in da forest.
***STATUS: Mask killed by succubus in his bedroom.
***STATUS: Tempus killed by a rat while sneaking through the sewers.
