Sadly, due to a current bug with missile shield, only when the warbow proc'd did any of the 5 rangers do any damage. Damage is not occuring through missile shield regardless of the arrows used. Oh well, it looked cool anyways.

Sad, the entire fight until the last 2 rounds the mob was shielded and all those rangers did 0 damage.

Bah, forget missile shield. I want them to bring tame back the way it was. I walk around and I see all these mounts that I cant tame anymore. WHats the fun of being a ranger if I cant walk around with useless pets?

Snipped out the rest, here's my analysis/perspective on the missile shield bug.

When shooting at a missile shield, the code considers what arrows you are using. Anything with a +1 or better hit bonus is supposed to pierce the shield, causing less damage because it get's "slowed" going through the shield. The higher hitroll the arrow, the less damage is reduced. Since the average arrow of choice for all rangers is +1 to hit, we can usually be assured of causing some damage to any non-dragon mob, regardless of missile shield.

What is currently happening is that the arrows are displayed as piercing the shield as normal. To the shooter at least - to anybody with condensed it says they fire and miss all shots. This is actually the case - arrows that have to penetrate a missile shield are currently causing no damage. I have verified this by trying to lure missile shielded mobs with +3/+3 arrows. I have engaged missile shielded mobs with archery, using +3/+3 arrows and not had them attack back. I just receive the < E: whatever EC: few scratches > prompt until somebody hits the mob with a melee weapon.

On a related note, mob archery appears to also be causing no damage. I have only tested this on mobs that use archery to attack me from out of the room, as in scorps or Oakvale. However after getting shot with several arrows by mobs, I have suffered no damage.

Hope this clears up the problem a bit more than 15 ways of saying the spell is broken. :P
