Ghimli pwns you all

I hadn't gotten out to see LotR 2 until the other night due to work and time constraints. I have to say though that after reading the huge post about the movie and people sayign Ghimli was dumbed down... what about all the times where he was serious? Dwarves love to have fun...if there was one problem I saw it was that he NEVER TOUCHED A TANKARD THE ENTIRE MOVIE! Other then that...he made the movie for me. That representation of Ghimli echoes my motivations for playing a dwarf.

I agree with Gormal. You people who bashed Gimli are retarded. Comparing him to Jar-Jar just proves to me that you aren't worthy to exist on a planet with a character as cool as Gimli.

There was absolutely nothing that I disliked about lotr2.

Yeah, Gimli was done really well overall.
Sure, there are flaws, same with Legolas and most of the main chars I think.
But in the 2 towers, Gimli was portrayed much better and more in depth than the 1st lotr, and it was sweeet to see!

actually h wiped his mouth with his beard but any way...gimli kicks ass...he was standing up on the battlements dodging arrows taking out 1 orc after the other...thou i think legoles did the best..took out like 50 orc with 1 shot...the power of rangers worshop it...

I finally got to watch this last night. The movie kicked ass. I will agree that gimli kicked major ass since they made him more like he was in the book, hot tempered, funny, dangerous. The only part of the movie I couldn't remember if it happend in the book or not was when the forest elf leader got a sword to the back in helms deep. That guy was cool, he shouldn't have died

I think someone said that the forest elves weren't even at Helm's Deep in the book. So... my guess would be no.

BTW, anyone else thing that all of the forest elves look like bad pre-op transvestites?
