Will you/Do you let your kids MUD?

MUDding is like drugs and alcoholic. Anything fun in moderation that doesn't kill you is a good thing. I'd let them.

Besides, it's a game that stimulates the imagination and requires good social skills. I don't see why not.

Yes, I will let my kids play. Actually if things work out my seven year old daughter wants to start learning to play this summer.
I will say that for now she'll only be on when Nok or I am and we'll be grouped with her.. But that's because we'll have to keep her from groupin with guys like Rags and such

I showed my sister a mud once. (not Sojourn). ~5 years later, she's marrying a guy she met from it. computer programmer, nice job. Interesting how things work. I got my current job through Sojourn/Miax. I really have no complaints about Mudding.

It's open for alpha testing and will be pwiped before beta in a couple weeks. The addy is sojourn3.org 6666... hrmm... I tink it's 6666, not sure because it's just in my zmud thing somwhere heh. I'm sure it's posted in the news forum somewhere though.

Actually, it's sojourn3.org:9999. But otherwise, Sarvis is correct. We are currently in a short alpha-testing period, at the end of which we will completely wipe all player files and then the MUD will be opened for real.

Sojourn's newbie help pages don't seem to be in atm, but in a nutshell.

Open telnet
set server address at sojourn3.org
set port as 9999 (instead of default 23)
connect
