Just a question for ya...

Lets say a class is "balanced" does that mean that the class should stay the same forever?

I mean...is that the general idea? Get everything balaced in a month or two, and then just leave everything as is...adding areas but not changing classes and stuff?

Just curious...

I guess if the idea is to continually code new and cool stuff (i sorta hope so)... how do you modify classes without unbalancing them... It would kinda suck if everything new was basically useless for fear of unbalancing things.

What are peoples thoughts on this?

I may be way off base here, since I have no admin experience on muds, but I would think that the goal is to get things as balanced as possible so that anything that changes in the future can be offset by minor twinks here and there and not total revamps of the entire structure.
I would think that complete balance of something as ever-changing as a mud, is next to impossible.
I must say however, of all the muds that I have ever played, Sojourn is the most balanced that I have seen.
