I've played this DikuMUD several times over the past almost-decade. I had a 29th level Sorcerer on Sojourn or Toril, I can't remember which incarnation. This was back in 1995.

Question.

I tried to create a character named Mourdalia, but it says the name is already taken. I know for a fact that I've created a previous character named Mourdalia, which I think was in Bloodstone and I don't think she is even past level 1.

Anyway to either get her deleted or get the password for her so I can have the name back?

Create a character with any name you want (use the autoroller if you feel like it), then petition and ask them to either change your name or deal with the old character. If you haven't changed ISPs since you created it, it shouldn't be a problem. If you have, they might still be able to help.

I appreciate your time. I have already created a character of the same race/class, however, she is in Baldur's Gate instead of Waterdeep or Bloodstone. I thought there was a Necromancer's tower in Waterdeep, though. Just curious.

There was a Necro tower in WD. Necromancers were later moved to Bloodstone, and necromancer pets were made kill on sight by most hometown guards. The Necro tower in WD was then taken over by the Invoker class. Bloodstone was later destroyed, moving Necros to BG.

The tenure of the average player here is impressive. I knew starting back up here after almost 9 years was a good move.
