I saw someone today with a description that said they were well over six and a half feet tall and weighed over 300 lbs. Then I saw that person was a human and I got to thinking- every race/gender seems to have its set height and weight. Although you can say your character is fat in its description, you can't do anything to really make your character fat. You can say your character is taller or shorter, but unless you cast reduce/enlarge, they aren't going to be taller or shorter (and then only for a short time). So, how about adding options during character creation that lets you stray from the averages? Or maybe put the options on the option screen when you log on your character- that way your character can gain or lose weight.

Your extra weight helps you bash better or heavier opponents!
Your extra weight costs you twice the amount of moves to go anywhere! Huff! Huff! Huff!
Your extra weight causes you to eat 2-3 times as much and 2-3 times as often! :shock:
If you choose to be extremely thin for your race..
The loss of weight decreases your bash ability on heavier mobs! :?
The loss of weight decreases the amount of moves to goanywhere! :wink:
The los off weight decreases the amount of food needed to eat to be full, and how soon between meals before you need to eat again! :)
Being heavier increases hps!
Being thinner increases agility and dexterity!

While we are at it, how about putting in options for hair and eye color, personality. Interests. That sort of thing. *roll* Why does it matter to you what the number in the height and weight column says? You have absolute and complete control over your character's appearance... in your description. Oh I'm sorry, that wouldn't do anything to "really" make your character fat. My bad. Btw, have you ever tried RP'ing an obsessive compulsive character?

You pretty much summed it up there, Corth. You can roleplay up the fact that you're 6'5" and 300lbs all you want, but your character wouldn't actually be so and anyone with an identify scroll can see that. Whereas there's no way anyone can tell what color your hair is or if you do or don't have hair except by looking at your description.
