Just a Wuss Idea for Yuan-ti

Postby Dizzin » Fri Aug 29, 2003 5:36 pm

Just a minor one. What would people say to Yuan-ti getting innate slowpoison? It seems about right for snake people to have some sort of protection from venom. I'm sure it's been discussed already, but it just came to me the other day and I figured why not suggest it in the here and now.

Objections? Concerns?

Yadda.

Yeah, I'd like to see snakebite have different effects as you get higher level.

8)

That would be nifty to see them have different poisonous effects. Snakes ARE often poisonous.

Yuan-ti weren't venomous in 2nd edition D&D, but abominations have some sort of poison in 3rd edition. It would be interesting to have the change in the source material reflected here.

Darn it, I can't find my thread from about two years ago wherein I first proposed that innate snakebite include some sort of venom. Perhaps it's no longer publicly viewable.

However, I *did* find these threads, all of which are in some way or another applicable. And one of these includes Cherzra talking about the idea, and mentioning it being old :P

A few of those threads deal with evil races in general, and not necessarily the yuan.

Whoops! The lich and shapechange threads aren't immediately relevant, but they should be read anyway :p You know you want to.
