Out of nowhere comes this talk of halfling hometowns.

So us Yahoooing groupers must pounce! We have a new topic!

I never spent much time in the halfling hometown, but I'd love to see ALL
hometowns have some nifty quests added in. Especially Waterdeep. Nothing
wrong with having a super super rare load quest item nestled in the burbs,
right? As for Leuth, let's have a Citizenship quest Where all the animal
mobs are still aggro to ya, but the elves allow you to walk through And the
guards assist the animal mobs -cac-. GH has it's rare quest (those bracers
from the rogue)..just saying it doesn't have to be eq, but there should be
something SUPER UBER MAJOR in each hometown

You know... a quest to be allowed on EM sounds really cool! I mean there are a few humans allowed on Leuthilspar... like Khelben and Laeral... err... think that's her name anyway...

Nah, one of the few great things about being an elf is being one of the only races allowed on Evermeet, and a citizenship quest would take that "coolness factor" away. I suppose if it was only doable by high-level people or something then that might work, but not for mid-low levels imho.

High levels can already well onto the Island so I see no big argument against putting in a level 45ish quest to alow them into the city. Just leave the evil races out of it.

There's nothing particularly special about Leuthilspar, and it's easy for other races to get to circumvent the city and get to EM (moonwell, the door from gith, etc). I think a citizenship quest is a great idea, as long as it's fairly difficult.

I should specify, it's a good idea for HUMANS. Having barbs or other demi-humans in their town is probably beyond any elf's tolerance
