Can protection from evil be made to show up in the active spells list?

perhaps you know this, but none of the protection spells show up unless you cast detect magic on yourself.

dunno, i guess maybe their effects are less obvious so you need something to be able to tell you have them. i mean, when you have stone skin its obvious etc. perhaps this was the general guideline.

dunno, i guess maybe their effects are less obvious so you need something to be able to tell you have them. i mean, when you have stone skin its obvious etc. perhaps this was the general guideline.
If you look down at your hand and it isn't there, you know you're invisible.
If you look around and people you previously didn't see are there, you know you can detect invisbile.
If you look at your arm and it looks like a tree, you know you have barkskin.
If you fight an evil character and it doesn't hit you much, you may just be having a string of good luck. You have no idea whether you're still protected or not.
