Yuan Tail

Postby Ashiwi » Thu Jan 31, 2002 4:58 am

Okay, I'm completely ignorant of yuans, so please forgive me, but this occurred to me earlier, and I thought it might be an interesting idea. There's been a lot of talk about a Yuan tail slot, which I think is a good idea. They have tail sweep, right? From what I understand, when warriors shieldpunch with spiked shields, they do extra damage to their target. I thought it would be a nice boost if a Yuan could wear a tail slot item with spikes, studs, razors, whatever, which would allow them to do a minimal amount of damage on a successful tail sweep.

First I was afraid that this would be another one of the 879345 posts about yuanti slots. (yes, I was petrified.)

But thankfully, you bring up a cool idea not discussed before. I had thought about posting that you should be able to wear a weighted object to increase your chances, just like with bash. Yours might be better, since we won't have all yuanti wearing the same "pbone tailring," so to speak.

Unfortunately nobody plays Yuan-Ti warriors. Perhaps more important, tailsweep is an unengaged ability anyway. It's the equivalent of a bodyslam. Who wants to wear an item that only benefits you when engaging a mob?

Now piffle Cherz, it was just a hairbrained idea, no reason for that.

They wouldn't complain so much if they could befriend all smaller mobs with keyword/race elf Image

Unfortunately for snakes, none of their followers seem to be able to cast :P What's up with that, anyhow? I think it would be cool to allow them to befriend small yuanti mobs as well, caster or not. Free rations!
