finding your corpse in the dark

Postby Deltin » Fri Jul 19, 2002 7:44 pm

If you have items with continual light on them you can see in the dark. So why wouldn't these items allow you to find your corpse in the dark that has all your equipment on it, do they not still give off light? If you drop one of those items it lights up the room doesn't it? Just wondering.

As far as the coding goes, I'm sure your corpse is a container, and the light is inside the container, so the light can't escape. Is this realistic? No, and it sure would be nice if you could see where your corpse is.

I've noticed this before, but never thought to post something. Would be extremely helpful though.

Agreed. But i could see how the current code would prevent this...would be nice if it were changed though.

I thought it would just be logical mostly. Guess the thing to do is drop an illuminating item prior to the fight, just incase.

This would be about the time Tod puts up the famous 'Tod's List of Other Topics Just Like This One'.

It's has been visited numerous times and still hasn't been changed. 8(

It looks like Grungar and Zoldren are in the contest for the Moritheil award on who can respond to the most threads with only one or two line responses.

Well, I could write a whole bunch of lines, but it'd just be more of the same mindless drivel that's prevalent in my posts.

Shouldn't there be two Moritheil awards? One for one-liners, and another for bumping? I can just see it now... The First Annual Moritheil Awards!
