Tehdar looks at you.
Tehdar kisses your hand. Aww...how sweet.
You give him a great big, warm hug.
Tehdar says 'it pleases me to see you again Llaaldara'
Llaaldara screeches in horrific tones, 'In this rare and often brutal world, you're arrival brings a pleasant dim to the ever oppressing light.'
Tehdar says 'much has changed in Toril'
Tehdar says 'I have been away for quite awhile'
Llaaldara screeches in horrific tones, 'I notice little of things around me, what do you speak of exactly?'
Tehdar says 'the world'
Tehdar says 'the environment'
Tehdar says 'the new ones'
Llaaldara utters in a deathly voice, 'Perhaps I have been far too engrossed in my own studies to take notice to the ever changing world around me.'
Tehdar says 'perhaps you have'
Tehdar says 'or perhaps the world changes fast'
Tehdar says 'and we don’t realize until the end'

Llaaldara utters in a deathly voice, 'What brings you back from your long journey?'

Tehdar says 'I have been summoned by an old friend'
Tehdar says 'for a reason I do not know'
Llaaldara murmurs from beyond the grave, 'I see. Well I will not attempt to pry into your private matters, it is good to see your soul traveling thru familiar places, no?'
Tehdar says 'agreed'
Tehdar says 'I would tell you but I don't know such matters'
Tehdar says 'all I can do now is wait for him to make his return'

Llaaldara utters in a deathly voice, 'It has been some time since we traded words, and in that time my new eyes have seen much of this world from a different perspective.'
You nod at him.

Tehdar says 'do you remember me?'
Llaaldara speaks in a ghastly pitch, 'Only vaguely.'
Llaaldara screeches in horrific tones, 'Unfortunate that is. I remember speaking with you before in a less.. hmm'
Llaaldara speaks in a ghastly pitch, 'what is the word?'
Tehdar says 'I am the brother of gesala the enchanter the brother in law of Zathep '

You detach from reality for a moment, pondering.

Llaaldara speaks in a ghastly pitch, 'Ah yes, that's right.'
You nod at him.
Llaaldara speaks in a ghastly pitch, 'I have not seen the likes of Zathep in an age either.'
Tehdar says 'after my sisters death he disappeared never to return'
You nod.

Tehdar says 'all that is left of Zathep is the dagger I hold'

Tehdar says 'when did you pass on'
Tehdar looks at you.

You detach from reality for a moment, pondering.

Tehdar says 'you joined the realm of the lich'

Tehdar says 'I remember you when you were a beauty'

Llaaldara murmurs from beyond the grave, 'I daresay I cannot remember the exact date, and time has little meaning for me now. Days and nights bleed together like so much blood upon a battlefield. Days have long since become weeks, which turned into months, and then years, and now centuries.'
Llaaldara speaks in a ghastly pitch, 'It is all a blink to me. The only thing that appears to keep my sanity is the dogged pursuit of the arcane.'

Tehdar nods.

Tehdar says 'tell me does my beloved szmisha still dwell here?'
Llaaldara utters in a deathly voice, 'I have not seen anyone of such name, since before you yourself left.'
Tehdar says 'then it is as I feared'
Tehdar says 'I am the last'

Llaaldara speaks in a ghastly pitch, 'Have you returned to rebuild? Or fade into oblivion with all that is rest of your house?'
Tehdar begins to ponder on something.

Tehdar pulls out his unused thinking cap, and begins to think.

Tehdar says 'I come to live'
Tehdar says 'I come to claim the onyx dagger'
Tehdar says 'I have come to rebuild what was taken from me'

Llaaldara screeches in horrific tones, 'Dobluth Kyor was once a strong city, but it has grown weak in that past millennium. It could use strong souls as yourself to help rebuild our defenses and network of shadows that has all but disappeared.'

Tehdar says 'tell me where is Nilan'
Tehdar says 'he is the most famous drow rogue of all '
Llaaldara utters in a deathly voice, 'the shadowskulker can often be found flouncing in the forest of Mir'

Tehdar says 'he helped me when I was yet a young rogue'
Tehdar says 'is he still sane'
Tehdar says 'or has age taken its toll'

Llaaldara speaks in a ghastly pitch, 'At times, as needed I suppose, he seeks me out. And by the power of Kiaransalee, his age is restored. His mind is as sharp as ever I believe, but lately it has been spent on other.. un-pressing pursuits.'
Tehdar says 'pursuits?'
Llaaldara screeches in horrific tones, 'thoughts..'
Tehdar says 'I see'

Llaaldara speaks in a ghastly pitch, 'His actions as of late.. have been more akin to a surface elf.'
Tehdar nods.
Tehdar says 'he has a love for a grey elf'
Tehdar says 'her name left my mind long ago'
Llaaldara utters in a deathly voice, 'Elisten. Earlier this eve I was speaking to her.'
Llaaldara murmurs from beyond the grave, 'She too traveled thru this land on her way to another. Stopping only momentarily.'
Tehdar sighs loudly.
Tehdar says 'I have much work to do'
Tehdar says 'and yet feel as that I have no idea what to pursue'

Llaaldara screeches in horrific tones, 'I find myself spending more and more time with the youths of today.'
Tehdar says 'helping the young ones'
Tehdar says 'I could raise the young ones to follow me'

Tehdar says 'but at last that wont do'

Llaaldara speaks in a ghastly pitch, 'Perhaps. Our ranks have drastically thinned recently. It would do well to take appropriate action to thicken them.'

Tehdar says 'the world has changed and my mind has wandered I would not know from south to north'
Llaaldara screeches in horrific tones, 'Then perhaps you should take a moment in time and re familiarize yourself with the lay of the land, no?'

Tehdar says 'I should'
Tehdar says 'but as a drow our vision is only limited to night'
Tehdar looks at a cruel illithid.
A cruel illithid skulks east.

Tehdar grins wickedly.
Tehdar yawns. Sleepy head!
You place a wicked grin on your face.
Tehdar says 'I feel the presence of sleep bathing me'
You nod.
Tehdar says 'I shall retire for the night'
Tehdar says 'I bid thee farewell wise one'
Llaaldara screeches in horrific tones, 'fare well'
You wave.
Tehdar bows deeply.
Tehdar gives you a long stemmed red rose. What a sweetie!
Tehdar waves happily.
Tehdar leaves east.

I don't understand. You a harpy or something? Can't think of a race on the faerun that would "screech in horrific tones".

Oh wait, puberty?

I find it odd, even for a lich. Will i get dropped to -1 hp from listening to her talk? Never seen/read anything that says liches speak in screams.
I've heard of rasps, whispers, low ominous tones, etc. Never screeches.

Not that its my business how someone else plays their character, it just seems odd to me. That is all.

Llaaldara = Undead Female Drow Priestess of Kiaransalee
(It's like combining a Lich with a Banshee)

If I was a true lich in this game, I'd have a phylactery. I don't. Therefor I leave my undead state up to my own RP interpretation as it falls within the bounds of some known undead types.

PS. Yes she speaks in different ways, some of which are like nails scratching on a chalk board creepy. Her voice is magical and not limited within the bounds of normal living organ provided speech.

Delmair that quote has as much to do with summing things up as this one does:

"One for the rhythm! Two for the rhyme! Three for the feeling! It's bobsled time!"
Sanka (Doug E. Doug), Cool Runnings, 1993

That being said, I think you're judging unfairly in both an area meant to be unjudged and without any basis to judge. I think I might make Artikerus gurgle loudly from now on, and just make sure I have plenty of ale in my throat to make sense of the noise...
