Musings of a Mage

Inside my room at the Dead Orc Inn having given up my room in a commoners dwelling off of the Street of Silks I was having very confusing thoughts.

My feelings...I do not understand them anymore. They are pulling me in two directions at once.
I feel like I am going to go insane from the battle going on inside my head. I am all alone. There is no one to comfort me, no one at all I can go to. I will just have to endure until I find a solution.

I start to pace the perimeter of my room following my feet with my eyes. I grabbed my hair with my hands and pulled trying to lessen my headache. It didn't work. I stop walking in circles and sit down on the small bed inside the room. I say to myself ," Everything was so clear before why is it so hard now?!? Why must my thoughts and feelings be in such turmoil? I feel so guilty and ashamed but I do not understand why."

I lay down on the bed and stare at the ceiling. I continue my internal musings ," Why do I make such stupid decisions?" in saying this I bang my fist into my forehead. Absently rubbing my forehead I sit up. I say to myself again ," I should listen to what Tiala told me about comtrolling my emotions." on speaking about Tiala my eyes glaze over briefly.

I shake my head and snap out of my inappropriate if not pleasant daydream. " I miss her so much,
she hasn't spoken with me since I made my rash decision." I whisper softly,"Holder of my heart I miss you I hope you know that."

I stand up and start to pace again muttering to myself ,"What should I do,what should I do..."

I stop pacing suddenly. "I know what i should do." I went over to the small desk in the room took out a piece of paper and a quill and started to write....

A couple of days later you find me searching the streets for a certain rogue named Timas...

I walk up and down The Delzaren Road and The Street of Silks also venturing onto The Street of Swords a few times. As I am searching I mutter to myself ," Dang rogue where are you!!"

Finally I found him tied up but obviously comfortable in the Waterdeep jail. I asked him ," What did you do this time steal coins from one of the guards?" He shook his head all the while smiling and said ," Nah cus I was just trying to make some money playing cards and the owner of the place decided i had made to much." I laughed at his petname for me," You haven't called me that for years." He smiled and said ," well I thought it was time we acknowledged that we are cousins we have been apart for so long." I nodded at him what he said was true.

I wait for him to be judged and take him back to my room at the Inn. I explained to him the plan i thought of the night before. He says," Cus are you sure about this?" I nod vehemently ," I am more sure of this than anything I have ever been sure of." He says," Okay I will deliver this to Lirela but you have to do something for me." I look at him suspiciously ," What is it cus?" He gives me a sheepish look as he says ," Pay my fine for me?" I shrug and hand him the platinums coins he needs. He hugs me and runs off to do my errand.

I sigh in a relieved way and close the door of my room. I mutter to myself," I hope you succeed my cousin." I then lay down on the bed and fall into a deep slumber.

A little later that day I found this note waiting for me at the Inn

Mage,
It has been long since we've spoken. No doubt by now you have heard
of the death of Lilira. She was slain and her body was so destroyed
that the soul and body could not be reunited.

I will be taking on her responsibility to the Priest ont 12/23 (two days)
Escorting him up to the North. He expects four escorts, and I would be
honored to have you as one as I complete her promise.

Please leave a note here in the inn for me, or speak with me
when next we pass, to let me know.

Ticarios Raith ven Dre


I broke myself out of my musings long enough to search Ticarios out and tell him I would do my best to honor Lilira's death. He nodded his appreciation and then disappeared.

I really seem to miss Lilira she was a very good person. She always took the time to speak with me.

Where ever your spirit has gone Lilira know this I am very glad to have known you the short time I did.
