Invisibility

Another aging entry in a Ranger's journal:
Intention, Result. Trust, Betrayal. Innocence, Guilt. Submission, Judgement.
Upon mortals, things in this world come in pairs. The first pair is perhaps the easiest to see. Life and Death. Something that has become even easier to realize in the times that have come upon us. Even as we blink, the pairs are apparant. Light, and darkness.
But these are just the things that come to us every day mortals. There are things apparent within the realms that come alone.
Immortality. Something that exists alone.
But is there anything that's truly immortal? Or is even immortality a lie?
Or does even the rule of pairs come as a pair.
Paired, Unpaired.
All those hurt by the rules, call out for the exception. Neither guilty nor inoocent.
========================================
Ayra and Teflor came to the alter upon the Volcano, drawn by the winds of dragonflight. At long last, it was time for them to recieve judgement, rather than to pass it on the decisions they had made along the way.
An inquisitive green dragon took a few moments out of her eternity to ask a few questions of the pair gathered before her, before she took the ranger's message to the skies.
In all his life he never felt so calm as he sat next to his friend, waiting on the powers over all else to pass their wisdom upon them.
Dust and volcanic ash stirred all around them as the dragon returned, touching down upon the alter and tucking in its magnificent wings. Perhaps this was the end of his journey. The judgement that came upon his actions, the way that had led him to this destination. And Ayra...
Both stilled and quieted as the dragon raised herself above them.
The council has heard the message.
Finally, a moment of peace.
