It's a lot closer to love than the marriage I just got out of, too.

Were you in love or were you in love with the idea of being in love?
Okay, that was super lame, but I quoted it from some where.
Anyway, love is much more a earned feeling than what we associate it with. Love at first site is lust at first site followed by a lucky relationship after that is earned through much effort on both parts.
The truth is that moritheil lusts after everything, especially you.

How can you love cockroaches?!
And flies for that matter?
There's not many living things I dislike, but man those 2 I truly deeply despise. And if it weren't for thier place in the food chain I'd wish they were eradicated.
Other than that, there is a lot to love in this world, and not necessarily living things either.

Since no one else has.
How Do I Love Thee?
Elizabeth Barrett Browning
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of being and ideal grace.
I love thee to the level of every day's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for right.
I love thee purely, as they turn from praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints. I love with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.
Yup. You know who you are.

I used to believe that people can't control the way they feel and to a point that's true. However, when their actions/feelings affect others they can and should check their feelings at the door and get a true examination of the situation.
It may not feel like you chose who you're in a love with, but in the end there are many decisions involved in staying with someone. In fact, I think love is often much more the decision to stay with someone you've been with for a long time than it is to fall in lust with someone.
Except for Britney. I love Britney. Seriously.

No you love her tits and ass. I think if you actually met her and had to spend time talking to her and doing anything other then looking at her and/or banging her you'd want to slit her throat.

If you can choose who you love, then Homosexuality is a choice and isn't genetic. If you listen to the Rainbowhomojusticeleague, or whatever, no one would ever, ever, ever willingly choose such a lifestyle.
Talk amongst yourselves.

Sometimes homosexuality is biological, yes. There are biological reasons for homosexuality, but it's a lot more rare than the occurrence of homosexuality in our population. So technically homosexuality is sometimes a choice, and sometimes not... whether or not that "choice" is based on life events is another debate.

Just wondering where you are getting your information, or is that just your personal opinion? As far as I understand it, this entire subject is still up for debate?
Ashiwi wrote:There are biological reasons for homosexuality, but it's a lot more rare than the occurrence of homosexuality in our population.
Not that I doubt the biologic basis for homosexuality, but I was under the impression we are years away from being able to state the above with certainty, especially concerning the rates of biological evidence vs. population prevalence of homosexuality.
Payce!

The known biological factors do not account for the frequency of homosexuality in our population... of course there are other factors that haven't been verified yet.
My own opinion is that the greater the density of the population, the higher the occurrence of homosexuality. We don't exactly need to breed at such a rapid pace in overpopulated conditions, so Mother Nature puts the brakes on. This might not always be the case, but that's why it's my own opinion instead of something written down in a textbook.

From what I understand, there are no 'known biological factors'. It is all still hotly debated. The gene study, brain anatomy studies are not at all conclusive or accepted as fact. More importantly, no one knows the frequencies of these 'biological factors' to be able to compare them with presumed rates of homosexuality in the population.

Thanks. Just wanted to make sure it was your personal opinion.
I'm just home sick today with nothing to do.

Actually gene studies have isolated a possible gene that is believed to be responsible for homosexuality... In natural, homosexuality is known to exist and that is a fact... in every species of animals. Since animals do not chose their sexual preference it can we concluded that homosexuality is not a choice but biological.
Homosexuality is biological but expression of it is a choice...

Kasula wrote:And also the belief that some how that homosexuality is a choice of a deviant mind is just adding to the stereotype that homosexuals are evil/bad/wrong/etc...
Piffle Kasula... there are "homosexuals" out there who are that way because of choice (factoring social factors into choice instead of biological cause), just like there are bisexuals who are bisexual because of choice, just like there are monogamists because of choice, just like there are bigamists because of choice, just like there are furries because of choice, just like there are voyeurs because of choice, just like there are virgins because of choice. I'm not saying there aren't biological factors, but to state that no homosexual is homosexual because of choice is to completely take the human psyche out of the equation.

If you see a attractive naked woman and your dick gets hard, you're straight. If it doesn't, you're gay. If it's a choice, its certainly not a conscious one.

So therefore, based on what has been written thusfar. . . Love may not be a choice as so stated by some? This is assuming that Love and Sexual attraction are intertwined, at least for purposes of this debate. I know you need not love someone to have sex with them, but let us assume that if you love someone you also want to have sex with them.

Well, for a particular KIND of love. I don't think we should suggest that people can't love their family members without wanting to get it on >_<.

It's a choice. Think about it.
Big difference!!
homosexuality=two consenting adults... lifestyle choice or not...
pedophiles=predators preying on young innocent kids...
Stop demonalizing homosexuality by comparing with pedophiles.

Some may think homosexuality is just as sick as pedophilia.
Both however, are a conscious choice.
