Kerry's liberal domestic agenda would be worse than negligent. Theres a reason that the stock market rallied on Bush's victory.
Yo, you WON. You can stop being a disengenous bastard now.
The stock market ALWAYS rallies when an incumbent president is re-elected. In fact, it would have rallied if Kerry won too because the uncertainty of the election process is bad for the stock market.
The United States is an economic powerhouse because unlike most western countries, it has more or less avoided the implementation of a socialist style welfare state. A liberal president, which is what our adversaries such as France and Germany were hoping for, would undermine the essential formula for US well-being.
It's people like you that will get us bombed in the next 10 years or so. France and Germany are ALLIES. We work TOGETHER in the world you nutjob!
They just disagreed with us about ONE unjustified war, so Bush has discredited them the same way he did McCain and Kerry!
Given the choice between negligent and purposefully harmful, I'll choose the lesser of two evils. Which is what it was really. I'm no fan of Bush, who only got where he got because of his father. But he was better than the other choice.
Yes, it's good to know you've so heartily swallowed conservative rhetoric.
Yeah, so we are an economic powerhouse. Great, but we're being almost completely funded by communist countries like China. How the hell good is our capitalist economy doing if we can't even cover the costs of running our own damn country? NOT GOOD!
Even if Kerry wasn't the most liberal member of the Senate (admitted even by Michael Moore in his pre-election pep rally post), and even if he was right on the war on terror, I would have still felt compelled to vote Republican, if only because Chief Justice Rhenquist is dying, and avoiding an activist judge replacement is just about as important on the domestic front, as winning the war on terror is on the foreign front.
Because we all KNOW that social progress is wrong!
Bush will have four appointments by some estimates. All positions will be filled by bigots who hate gay marriage and want to impose christian values on our society. YOu can probably say goodbye to free speech too...
Oh, and Kerry isn't the most liberal Senator ever. He was during 2003 where he missed a lot of votes while campaigning, and they rated him purely on his economic votes. Overall though the same magazine rated him as 11th, while other sources rated him far, FAR lower.
I'd send you over to factcheck to read the article... but I know how you republicans hate facts.
TeflorThe Dems had the support of the media, the most outside support, the filmmakers, the most hollywood activists, the most news coverage,
Yeah, but they weren't bigots so they lost!
Number one issue cited by Bush voters: Moral Issues (gay marriage)
It's like Jim Crowe laws for gays!
the most newspaper endorsements
Yes, it's funny how even newspapers who had ALWAYS endorsed republicans before this election refused to endorse Bush. It's ALSO funny, and I hope you know that when I say funny I mean tragic, that magazines like American Conservative basically said "anybody but Bush!" Hell, they even recommended NOT VOTING rather than voting for Bush.
If this is the incompetence that Kerry would have carried into the presidency, I'm glad that I voted for Bush.
It's not incompetence. It's smart, compassionate and sensible people being outnumbered by fundamental christian bigots who know NOTHING about the issues.
Just look at Corth, who thinks the world will end of a "liberal" gets elected AND believed Bush ads saying Kerry was the most liberal person out there.
He DOESN'T KNOW ANYTHING BUT WHAT BUSH TOLD HIM.
How many people out there STILL believe Saddam was behing 9/11?
Remember: If you're not a republican you're a commmunist! (Of course, the Bush deficits are being subsidized by communist China... so why exactly are communists bad?)
By the way: It's interesting that none of you will deal at all with things like the Superfund funding (about as purposefully damn harmful as you can get
Corth!) or Medicaid Bill.
What was the saying? Did I post it here even...?
"In order to avoid cognitive dissonance, Bush supporters suppress awareness of unsettling information."
That's according to a study which came out a couple weeks ago, which found that most Bush supporters were badly misinformed and clinging to beliefs which had been proven wrong. Kerry supporters were FAR more likely to know where he stood on the issues.
Our leader has been elected by bigots and the ignorant. I feel so SAFE now! Bush will have France and Germany thinking about an invasion within 2 years... I bet you all the plat I have on that! (I'm always pretty much broke in game, so it's a fairly safe bet. ;) )
