Postby Jhorr » Tue Dec 07, 2004 1:29 pm

Anyone ever set up their palm pilot to use as a remote control over bluetooth to control Winamp? My PalmPilot has bluetooth but my PC does not. Any reccs on an interface?

There is a program called ControlFreak that lets you use a bluetooth smartphone to control winamp.

The interface may be customizable or emulatable for your palm or win CE device.

Either way you will have to have a bluetooth card for your PC.

Bluetooth sounds like overkill. You might want to look at Girder.

It allows you to use any IR device to control pretty much any function on your PC. Winamp, DVD players, ect. An IR reciever is cheap, uses less power and has a longer range then bluetooth.
