ok. i got this problem.

i dont want to get my carpets dirty so i make people take off their clothes. anway, i have no place to put it, so i make them leave it outside. but the shoes get cold, so i'm thnking about buying a small storage bind like thingy to put the shoes in, but the association wont allow stuff in my front patio area.

i need some solutions of where i can put the shoes w/o it being in the way and it being outside. i want them inside but not in the way.

Basically, get a shoe rack.

And you make them take off their clothes? Damn, remind me never to drop by :)

I was wondering why he worries about where the shoes are, if he already has their clothes off.

I'd be more worried about keeping the plastic covers on my furniture.

the problem w/ the shoe rack is it would be in the way. my living open into the dining room. theres no walls. so a rack would just be in the middle and in the way.

Hmm, you may need to do some digging around Sok. There is some actually decent looking racks that double as tables, cabinets, etc. I don't have a ton of room in my front hall but have a decent storage unit which also has some drawers in it.

Also, do you rent? If so, screw the carpet! :)

Also, there are some shoe racks that you can hang on the back of a door - not very attractive if you dont have a coat closet and have to use the back of your front door, but at least the shoes are inside and out of the way...

Also, how do you manage to get their clothes off? Pimp!

well obviously getting people's clothes off was a typo.

anyways i went to bed bath and beyond. like a whole new world has been open up to me. got the shoe rack and left it outside for time being until i can afford to be this cabinet/storage chest thingy. But looking at my living room last nite, i was pretty happy with it. it's pretty nice as long as people aren't in it.

i dont do anal. believe anal is for exit only. but my co-worker came up w/ this suggestion. buy a tall rectagular table and put the shoe rack under it, so it's hidden. i think thats a cheaper way to do it.

Or just buy a trunk and use that as a coffee table. Then your guests can just chuck their shoes inside and grab them on their way out.
