person just probably quit figuring they lost all their gear, hence all the complaining about the rot time. How many newbies have quit because they lost their stuff due to such a short rot time? too many.

18 hours is a pretty reasonable rot time IMO. Now, there are some situations where more is needed (total spank all corpses in Bel's room for instance).

But I've had corpses that people have pressed over and over again as they walked by. . .for no reason other than being nice. It lead to me getting over 1 level of xp in ET (I had left 4 or 5 there to rot).

There aren't many places a newbie can die that can't be CR'd in 18 hours or less. If they aren't in Scardale or an evil town, I'll CR them if I am able. (I squish those mean lvl 20 mobs).
Nerox tells you 'Good deal, the other tanks I have don't wanna do it, and since your my special suicidal tank i figure you don't mind one bit!'

Alurissi tells you 'aren't you susposed to get sick or something and not beable to make tia so i can go? :P'
